About OuterSignal
We are building the customer intelligence layer for commerce. Brands know when an order comes in, but they only see ~5% of the real story. We show them the other 95%: not just who bought, but who that person is - the execs, influencers, journalists, retail buyers, investors, and everyday customers who become a brand’s best evangelists. Our platform enriches every order in real time with professional + personal signals, unlocks personas, and powers everything from surprise-and-delight outreach to smarter email flows, analytics, and BD leads. We're a small, high-performing team building the category-defining platform for e-commerce customer intelligence, backed by a world-class investor base.
What You'll Do:

  • Own the full demand gen engine for the Shopify ecosystem: paid, organic, affiliates, partnerships, cold outbound

  • 10X+ our customer count (we have hundreds of customers but will have thousands in 12 months or less thanks to you!)

  • Deploy a $1M+ annual marketing budget across channels that actually convert

  • Run paid acquisition across LinkedIn and Meta; know when to scale and when to cut

  • Build and manage our affiliate program and content engine (agencies, consultants, tech partners)

  • Oversee our outbound and cold email strategy

  • Work directly with Founders on channel strategy, messaging, and market positioning

  • Hire and scale the marketing team as we hit milestones

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, growth, demand gen, or performance marketing

  • You've scaled a company before - ideally in e-commerce tools, Shopify ecosystem, or martech

  • Strong on paid acquisition fundamentals (Meta, LinkedIn, retargeting, lookalikes)

  • Experience building affiliate or partnership programs from scratch

  • Comfortable with cold outbound - you know the difference between spray-and-pray and precision targeting

  • Fluent in HubSpot (or similar CRM) for pipeline management and automation

  • You think in CAC, LTV, payback period, and channel contribution

  • Bonus if you've worked with Klaviyo, Shopify apps, or retention marketing tools

  • Most importantly: you want ownership. You can operate at both strategy and execution level, and you're energized by early-stage ambiguity and organized chaos.

What We Offer:

  • Impact: Join at the ground floor where your work directly influences company trajectory

  • Growth: Rapid company growth creates exceptional learning and advancement opportunities

  • Flexibility: Remote-first culture with autonomy over your work

  • Team: Work alongside the founding team

  • Mission: Revolutionizing the way brands understand and market to their customers

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
