About Galvanick

Galvanick protects the industrial world against cyber attacks. Our threat detection platform defends the modern world against criminals and nation-states that target Operational Technology (OT) systems and networks. This is a chance to work in a startup environment with driven individuals committed to solving cybersecurity's big problems. We are backed by Founders Fund, Village Global, MaC Venture Capital, and others.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as our first Head of Marketing. You will play a crucial role in building our go-to-market engine from the ground up, translating our technically sophisticated platform into compelling narratives that resonate with enterprise security and operations leaders.

This is a chance to define our marketing strategy, build scalable pipeline generation systems, and establish Galvanick as the definitive leader in OT security. You will own everything from brand positioning to demand generation and drive aggressive growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives as a force multiplier, building automated systems that exceed the output of a traditional marketing team. If you are passionate about protecting critical infrastructure and enjoy the challenge of marketing deeply technical products to sophisticated buyers, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do

* Build our lead generation engine. Design automated multi-channel processes that identify and engage target accounts.
* Create intelligent nurture systems. Develop campaigns for Operations Leaders, Security Executives, and Technical Evaluators that automatically adapt based on engagement patterns.
* Maximize pipeline quality. Implement lead scoring combining first-party and third-party signals while ensuring our sales team focuses only on high-intent opportunities.
* Generate technical content at scale. Partner with our engineering team to build content across blogs, social, web, and video.
* Partner with Sales. Create sales enablement materials to help close enterprise deals for large industrial operators in both the private sector and across the U.S. Government.
* Deploy AI as infrastructure, not just tools. Use AI agents for workflow automation and content generation thinking beyond everyday tools to architect intelligent systems that compound our capabilities.

Who You Are

* 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record building marketing from scratch in startup environments.
* Experience marketing complex technical products to enterprise buyers. You've successfully generated pipelines for products with $100K+ ACVs and understand long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
* Demonstrated success operating within a small team with limited resources. You know how to build systems that scale without agencies or large teams, delivering exceptional results through automation and smart prioritization.
* Technically fluency to understand and communicate our value proposition. While you don't need to be an engineer, you can quickly grasp why multi-source data correlation matters for OT security and translate it into compelling messaging.
* Data-driven with strong systems thinking. You make decisions based on metrics, build repeatable processes, and constantly optimize for efficiency and impact.
* Experience with marketing automation and AI tools. You're fluent in platforms like HubSpot and have used AI to multiply your output, not just generate content.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration. You thrive in environments where strategies pivot monthly and you need to build the plane while flying it.

Bonus Points

* Experience marketing to both government and commercial sectors. You understand the different buying processes and messaging requirements.
* Background in cybersecurity or industrial/infrastructure technology markets.
* Previous startup experience scaling early stage marketing teams.
* Experience with account-based marketing to Fortune 500 enterprises.
* You understand compliance frameworks like CMMC and can speak to regulatory requirements.

Benefits

We provide top-of-the-line medical/dental/vision for employees and dependents, and have additional benefits designed to optimize every team member’s vitality, health, and wellness. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $180,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Galvanick is an early stage startup and base salary is only one component of our compensation package. Depending on the position offered, equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

Location

This role is based in Los Angeles, CA. Given that we are an early-stage startup working on an exceptionally hard problem, we expect new team members to be in office.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
