Our platform offers best-in-class strategic guidance, product planning, trust and fund services, legal support, operations support, marketing and research, and sales and distribution services.

About the role

YieldMax is seeking a hands-on Head of Marketing to develop and execute the brand and marketing strategy for the YieldMax ETF suite. This role will lead the marketing team, day-to-day execution, and internal and external partnerships, with a focus on expanding awareness, engagement, and growth among retail and self-directed investors.

We’re looking for a marketing leader who can balance strategy with execution—someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, moves ideas forward, and enjoys working collaboratively across teams. This role will partner closely with leadership, product development, sales, portfolio management, legal, and compliance to bring the YieldMax brand and products to market in a thoughtful, engaging, and effective way.

What you'll do

Lead Marketing Strategy, Brand and Team

  • Develop YieldMax’s brand vision and integrated marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, product launches, and initiatives targeting retail investors, financial advisors, and brokerage platforms.
  • Lead the marketing team, priorities, budget, resources, and execution while partnering closely with leadership, product development, sales, portfolio management, legal, and compliance to maintain alignment and move initiatives forward.

Drive Digital, Social and Influencer Marketing

  • Oversee social media, email, SEO, paid media, public relations, influencer campaigns, and investor education, including opportunities with brokerage firms and financial platforms.
  • Lead organic and paid strategies across YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms, continuously evaluating opportunities to expand reach and engagement.
  • Build relationships with financial influencers, content creators, podcasts, media organizations, and investor communities, including interviews, product launches, AMAs, live streams, webinars, and investor Q&As.

Develop Content, Partnerships and Brand Engagement

  • Create written, graphic, audio, and video content—including fact sheets, infographics, videos, webinars, blogs, and emails—that makes ETF and options-income strategies clear, accessible, and engaging for investors.
  • Manage agencies, media, technology providers, and strategic partners while developing opportunities for interviews, podcasts, educational partnerships, and thought leadership.
  • Plan investor events, conferences, media interviews, and virtual programs, and oversee branded merchandise, vendors, procurement, and fulfillment.

Measure Performance and Partner on Compliance

  • Track brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, website activity, campaign performance, fund flows, and assets under management, using insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with legal and compliance to ensure communications, performance information, distribution messaging, disclosures, and risk statements meet SEC and FINRA requirements.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in ETFs, asset management, wealth management, fintech, or financial services.
  • Significant experience marketing investment products to retail and self-directed investors.
  • Proven success in brand strategy, integrated campaigns, team leadership, and hands-on execution.
  • Expertise in social media, digital marketing, paid media, SEO, email, content, public relations, and influencer marketing.
  • Experience working with financial content creators, media organizations, brokerage platforms, or investor communities.
  • Familiarity with ETFs, options-income or covered-call strategies, and SEC and FINRA marketing requirements.
  • Strong communication, analytical, project management, and relationship management skills, with the ability to bring clarity and alignment across multiple stakeholders.
  • A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to manage competing priorities, move initiatives forward, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of the ETF industry and the retail and self-directed investor landscape.
  • Established relationships across financial media, influencer, brokerage, or investor communities.
  • Experience marketing options-income, covered-call, or other differentiated investment strategies.

We are prioritizing candidates who are located within proximity to Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; New York City, NY; and West Palm Beach, FL.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
