  • Partner closely with Sales and Client Services to align marketing priorities, improve the buyer journey, and support customer growth strategies.
  • Develop content, digital, account-based, and field marketing programs for Avantpage’s priority audiences and markets.

  • Oversee marketing operations, including CRM strategy, marketing automation, website performance, analytics, attribution, and reporting.
  • Lead market and competitive intelligence efforts, including segmentation, buyer research, competitive analysis, and win/loss insights.
  • Use market and performance data to identify opportunities, guide investment decisions, and improve execution.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, allocating resources according to business impact and strategic priorities.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three marketing professionals.
  • Provide the team with clear priorities, feedback, coaching, and the context needed to make strong decisions.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, experimentation, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Build productive cross-functional relationships across Sales, Client Services, Innovation, and other areas of the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least eight years of progressive B2B marketing experience.
  • At least three years of experience leading marketing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing go-to-market strategies that contributed to pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Strong experience in demand generation, product marketing, positioning, brand strategy, and revenue marketing.
  • Experience partnering with executive and commercial leaders on strategic business initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of account-based marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, SEO, paid media, and marketing automation.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms; HubSpot experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, reporting, attribution, and performance measurement.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear messages.

  • Professional fluency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in SaaS, technology-enabled services, healthcare, localization, government, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience marketing a combination of technology products and professional services.
  • Experience supporting product launches or organizational transformation.
  • Experience leading distributed or multicultural teams.

What Success Could Look Like

During your first months, you will:

  • Build a strong understanding of Avantpage’s business, customers, services, products, and growth priorities.
  • Establish clear marketing priorities and provide continuity and direction to the existing team.
  • Strengthen alignment between Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Innovation, and Executive Leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve positioning, demand generation, marketing operations, and pipeline contribution.
  • Create a focused, measurable marketing roadmap aligned with business goals.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
