The Role

BuzzFeed Inc. is seeking a strategic salesperson to secure and manage revenue partnerships across sponsorships, brand integration, licenses, product placement, and more, monetizing BuzzFeed Studios' extensive portfolio of digital video, podcasts, television, FAST, and feature films. The Executive Director, Revenue Partnerships, will proactively identify and secure lucrative opportunities, ranging from entrepreneurial business development to traditional sponsorship and brand integration. In addition, this role will help manage existing relationships with our global license partners. The right candidate will be a self-starter, performance-driven, ambitious, and highly connected in the entertainment, publishing, and advertising industries.

This role reports to the Studio President, based in Los Angeles. This is a full-time, hybrid position with the expectation that this person will commute to our LA office at least twice a week.

You Will

  • Proactively identify and secure lucrative partnerships and revenue opportunities. 
  • Manage your own book of business and clients and ensure nothing but client/partner satisfaction. 
  • Track and regularly report internally on all opportunities and results. 
  • Become an expert in all activity and content at BuzzFeed Studios in order to identify exciting opportunities for partners. 
  • Manage projects/partnerships/campaigns through to delivery and report on their performance/success. 
  • Help manage and inspire international business teams and international partnerships to drive continued revenue growth.
  • Look to continually expand the BuzzFeed Studios partnership network and explore new revenue generating businesses.
  • Leverage BuzzFeed Studios’ portfolio of digital video, podcast, television, FAST and feature film to new revenue streams globally.

You Have

  • Have 8+ years of digital publishing and ad sales experience.  
  • Have experience managing business operations at scale. 
  • Agilely spot opportunities for sponsorship and product placement in content.
  • Have a deep understanding of the digital landscape and the ability to thrive in its turbulence and unpredictability. 
  • Have a demonstrated track-record of successful cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Have a love of and fluency with data.
  • Be a very strong communicator. 
  • Have an ambitious and competitive drive, always chasing growth and expansion. 
  • Have a proven track record of launching new revenue streams.
  • Experience in FAST and connected TV partnerships a plus.
