Full-Time | Executive Leadership | Reports to: President

About Us

eJam is a bootstrapped consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands — all without ever taking a dollar of outside capital. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between.

We’re not a startup hoping something works. We’re a team that has done it repeatedly — taken products from zero to eight figures, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small team, no bureaucracy, massive ownership.

This is the place where you’ll see the entire machine — sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail — all under one roof. If you want to learn how consumer products actually get built and shipped at scale, there is no faster education than this.

Role Summary

The Head of Growth owns the digital demand engine across DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon (in partnership with Marketplace), and Paid Social. This leader is responsible for driving profitable new customer acquisition, improving LTV, scaling creator-driven performance, optimizing CAC/MER, and building a high-output creative and media engine that is efficient, compliant, and predictable.

This role requires a hybrid mindset combining performance marketing, creative strategy, data fluency, and cross-functional leadership. The Head of Growth must be able to scale marketing from a scrappy fast-moving model to an institutional-grade, multi-channel growth engine capable of supporting a business scaling beyond $100M+ while maintaining contribution margin discipline.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in DTC acquisition, paid social, TikTok Shop, Amazon attribution, creator partnerships, and full-funnel performance architecture.

Core Responsibilities1. Growth Strategy, Forecasting & Performance Ownership
  • Own the growth forecast across DTC, TikTok Shop, and paid social channels (Meta, TikTok, Google).
  • Build and manage weekly/monthly performance forecasts aligned with CAC, MER, and contribution margin targets.
  • Manage channel scaling plans aligned to revenue, margin, and inventory constraints.
  • Partner with Finance Lead to deliver accurate forecasts and channel-level P&Ls.
2. Performance Marketing & Media Buying
  • Lead all paid acquisition efforts across Meta, TikTok, Google, and emerging channels.
  • Build a systematic testing framework across hooks, angles, landing pages, offers, and formats.
  • Manage budgets aligned to CAC, payback window, LTV, and contribution margin targets.
  • Collaborate with creators to amplify winning content via Spark Ads/whitelisting.
3. Creator Partnerships & Influencer Ecosystem
  • Own the creator pipeline across TikTok, Instagram, and Amazon Influencers.
  • Build a predictable flow of content for ads, organic, TikTok Shop, and Amazon PDP assets.
  • Implement scalable creator seeding, UGC programs, and paid creator partnerships.
  • Partner with Marketplace on TikTok Shop integration and creator-driven selling.
4. Creative Strategy & Content Engine
  • Lead the creative strategy roadmap—messaging, hooks, visual identity, storytelling.
  • Collaborate with internal/external creative teams to increase content velocity.
  • Build formats for high-performing repeatable video ads, UGC, and landing page content.
  • Own the creative feedback loop: insights → testing → optimization → deployment.
5. Landing Pages, CRO & Retention
  • Own landing page conversion strategy across all acquisition flows.
  • Run continuous CRO experiments to improve CVR, AOV, and payback metrics.
  • Partner with email/SMS to improve repeat purchase rates, retention, and LTV.
  • Ensure clean attribution between paid social, DTC, TikTok, Amazon, and retail halo effects.
6. Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Sales Lead to align digital and creator campaigns with retail windows to improve velocity.
  • Partner with Operations (Diego) to align demand with inventory and supply chain constraints.
  • Partner with Finance Lead to maintain channel-level profitability and contribution margin accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Marketplace Lead (Sam) on Amazon ads strategy, PDP content, and creator-driven Amazon traffic.
7. FTC Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all advertising, creator content, and claims meet FTC, platform, and retailer guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance around testimonials, endorsements, claims, disclosures, privacy, and SMS/email rules.

  • Understands how to scale a $20–50M brand into $100M+ while maintaining profitable acquisition.

  • Highly proficient in performance dashboards, analytics platforms, attribution modeling, and A/B testing.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
