The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance Transformation to lead our Finance systems and process modernization efforts. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end transformation initiatives—including systems implementation, process redesign, and cross-functional change management—as we continue to scale our business and operations.

You will report directly to the CFO, and work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, Product, and Operations. Your first major initiative will be spearheading the creation of an in-house subledger and its integration into NetSuite, setting the foundation for future automation and scalability.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Finance systems and processes, with a focus on automation, scalability, and best-in-class controls.
  • Oversee ongoing and future transformation projects, including the current buildout of an in-house subledger and NetSuite integration.
  • Drive change management and stakeholder engagement across Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Serve as the primary technical solution owner for Finance transformation initiatives across the company, partnering with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial operations, leveraging technology and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all transformation activities align with US GAAP accounting standards and organizational objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in Finance technology, especially within the crypto and fintech sectors.
About You
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance transformation, systems implementation, or related roles within high-growth environments; prior leadership experience required.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale ERP implementations and process redesigns; hands-on expertise with NetSuite is highly preferred.
  • Deep accounting, financial and treasury knowledge and experience; strong understanding of subledger architecture and financial data flows.
  • Financial services experience required.  Experience working in or with crypto is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects from strategy through execution.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for operational excellence and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Why FalconX?
  • Join a fast-growing, innovative company at the forefront of digital asset Finance.
  • Work alongside passionate, collaborative colleagues who are shaping the future of Finance.
  • Competitive benefits, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities for professional growth.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $191,000 - $259,000 USD for a Senior Manager level and $230,000 - $311,000 for a Director level in the New York City and San Francisco Bay Area. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as location, skillset, experience, qualifications and the level at which the candidate is hired.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
