About the Role:

The Head of Editorial will build and lead Cantina’s internal media organization, shaping the global conversation around Consumer AI and Social AI. This role is responsible for defining the editorial vision, producing high quality original content, and establishing Cantina Labs as a leading voice in the space. They will oversee a multidisciplinary team spanning writing, podcasting, social media, and programming, while also contributing directly as a writer and producer. The goal is to elevate the reputation of the category, spark meaningful global dialogue, and position Cantina at the center of it.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and execute a cohesive editorial strategy that drives thought leadership and shapes the public narrative around Consumer AI and Social AI

  • Write, edit, and produce original content across formats including long form essays, reports, newsletters, podcasts, video, and social media

  • Build and lead an internal media team, establishing high editorial standards, publishing cadence, and scalable workflows

  • Conceptualize and produce tentpole moments such as the Social AI Conference and other owned media experiences

  • Represent Cantina externally through speaking engagements, media appearances, and participation at major AI and technology conferences

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in editorial leadership, media, journalism, or content strategy, ideally within technology or emerging platforms

  • A strong personal writing voice and portfolio, with demonstrated ability to produce high impact, widely distributed content

  • Experience building and managing multidisciplinary content teams across written, audio, video, and social formats

  • Deep understanding of AI, consumer technology, and digital culture, with strong instincts for shaping emerging conversations

  • Executive presence and strategic acumen, with the ability to connect editorial efforts to brand reputation, community growth, and long term business impact

  • Travel up to 10% of the time

Compensation:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is between $175,000-$230,000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
