This role requires a deep understanding of both TradFi and DeFi, along with exceptional business development, relationship management, and technical acumen. You will act as the owner delivering strategy through execution for all parts of the distribution value chain including liquidity providers and utility venues, connecting issuers with a fully integrated distribution strategy to facilitate seamless and accelerated onboarding into this nascent vertical.
Your Impact

  • Lead the development and execution of Chainlink’s institutional asset distribution strategy, bridging CeFi, DeFi, and fintech ecosystems.

  • Build and manage relationships with key liquidity providers, including market makers, prime brokers, CEXs, DeFi protocols, and chain foundations.

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding and go-to-market process for institutional stablecoins and real-world assets (RWAs) through Web3 infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align distribution efforts with product development, legal, and compliance strategies.

  • Develop a robust pipeline of liquidity and funding sources to facilitate scalable asset onboarding into the Web3 ecosystem.

  • Directly pitch, structure, and close deals with both institutional issuers and service providers, articulating the value of Chainlink’s distribution network.

  • Represent Chainlink at industry events, building awareness and trust across the institutional DeFi space.

  • Deliver against key results, including growth in market cap and transaction volume of tokenized assets across supported platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in institutional finance, business development, or strategy, particularly in TradFi or digital asset ecosystems.

  • Deep understanding of both traditional financial markets infrastructure and DeFi/Web3 protocols.

  • Familiarity with compliance, custody, and infrastructure pain points in institutional onboarding and asset distribution.

  • Proven track record working with or for market makers, liquidity venues, or capital markets intermediaries.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex go-to-market strategies, ideally across multiple stakeholder types.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in technical, legal, and product-driven environments.

  • Strong network of relationships across financial institutions, fintechs, and crypto-native platforms.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution, comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong technical acumen — ability to understand smart contracts, blockchain integration flows, and large-scale distributed infrastructure.

  • Prior experience working in regulated broker-dealer ecosystems, clearing houses, or fintech distribution platforms.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
