About This Role:

We are seeking a Head of Analytics to lead and scale our data function. This is a multi-faceted role that will help guide our data strategy, drive insights that inform mission critical decisions, and build a high-performing data team. Reporting directly to the VP Strategy & BizOps, this person will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, operations, finance, and the exec team to ensure data is at the core of every decision we make.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy – Craft a clear roadmap for data analytics and insights at Found, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving informed decision-making.
  • Lead and scale a high-impact data team – Guide and mentor a growing team of four data analysts, providing both technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation, curiosity, and professional growth, ensuring the team evolves alongside the company’s needs.
  • Champion a data-driven culture – Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed data into decision-making processes, transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that fuel business success.
  • Elevate data infrastructure – Assess and enhance existing data systems, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability to support Found’s long-term growth.
  • Get hands-on with data — Dig into SQL, spot meaningful trends, and turn raw numbers into insights that drive real impact across product, marketing, and operations.
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape and track company-wide goals — Providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, inform OKR progress, and ensure alignment with Found’s vision.
  • Shape the future of the data function – Identify opportunities within the team, playing a pivotal role in scaling and structuring the data function as Found grows.

What You Have:

  • 8+ years of data analytics experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing and developing teams.
  • Strong technical foundation in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization (experience with tools like Sigma, Mode, Tableau, or Looker preferred).
  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or R is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and predictive analytics.
  • Experience leading and scaling data teams in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across product, marketing, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
  • A track record of driving business impact through data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication and leadership presence, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.
  • A passion for Found’s mission to transform personalized weight care.

What You'll Get:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • PTO, company-paid holidays, parental leave
  • 401K, wellness and wifi perks
  • Flexible, remote-first work culture

Found is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  We seek and celebrate diversity in its many forms.  If you’re excited about this opportunity but do not meet 100% of the qualifications, we encourage you to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
