The Position
The Head of Corporate Planning leads Atlassian's Corporate FP&A planning function, driving the company's long-range planning (LRP), annual planning, monthly and quarterly reporting, and ongoing forecasting processes. This leader is responsible for consolidating revenue and cost planning across the organization, ensuring rigorous executive and Board-level narratives, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and manage a high-performing Corporate Planning team of 4+ professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the end-to-end corporate planning process, including LRP, annual planning, and rolling forecasts.
  • Consolidate revenue, gross margin, and operating expense planning across all business units.
  • Drive executive-level financial storytelling, peer benchmarking, and scenario modeling for the Executive Ops (EO) team and Board of Directors.
  • Oversee capital allocation, corporate modeling, and resource allocation processes.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance and other FP&A pillars to ensure alignment and rigor in all planning deliverables.
  • Own the development and enhancement of planning systems, processes, and analytics to support company growth and scale.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and senior executives on all matters related to corporate financial planning.
  • Partnering closely with Investor Relations on investor guidance and earnings materials.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with significant leadership in corporate planning at a public SaaS or technology company.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and capital allocation.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence.
  • Prior people management experience required; experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $197,100 - $257,325
Zone B: $178,200 - $232,650
Zone C: $163,800 - $213,850
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
