Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Head of Contingent Workforce Procurement to join our Global Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the effectiveness of the global contingent labor category by driving strategic sourcing, operational efficiency, and high-impact supplier performance. You will serve as a key transformation leader, shaping how the category operates globally to ensure cost optimization and data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the strategic transformation of global contingent staffing by consolidating the labor supply base into a managed group of preferred suppliers to eliminate unnecessary expenses and improve service quality.

  • Drive operational excellence and team performance by negotiating favorable contracts, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and implementing Managed Service Provider (MSP) portfolio offerings and automation tools.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Technology, Human Resources, and Finance teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product development while championing supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.

  • Execute cost optimization and innovation strategies by pioneering new sourcing methods and identifying opportunities to maximize the value of technology investments through continuous improvement.

  • Manage category risk and executive engagement by collaborating with Legal and Compliance teams on risk/reward decision-making and serving as a trusted advisor to the Leadership Team (LT) on procurement strategy.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations, with a dedicated focus on process improvement and functional transformation.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement technologies, business intelligence tools, and the design of end-to-end procurement governance frameworks.

  • Proven ability in stakeholder management and influence, with the capacity to engage senior divisional leaders and instill a performance-based culture across a global resource pool.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance (industry certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are a plus).

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with your experience.

  • Flexible work options to support work–life balance.

  • Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement plans.

  • Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth within a global environment.

  • Paid time off and holidays.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
