The Sui Foundation exists to support the development, growth and adoption of the Sui network. Sui is the first permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed from the ground up to enable creators and developers to build unique Web3 experiences from gaming to finance.

The Sui Foundation is committed to three decentralization principles; Embrace transparency and level the playing field, Communicate openly to build a culture of trust, and Engage directly with the community.

Mission:

Onboard the next billion users to web3 by supporting the advancement and global adoption of the Sui blockchain.
Vision:
To create a better world that unlocks opportunities through universal access and individual ownership.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Content to lead our content strategy across all channels and platforms. This role will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive content strategy that supports brand growth, community engagement, and product adoption.

This individual will sit at the intersection of strategic planning and hands-on creation - someone who not only sets the vision but also ready and willing to get in the weeds to write, edit, and storyboard. You will manage a broad content portfolio, including blogs, newsletters, video, infographics, social content, case studies, and more.

As the leader of the Content team, you will work within Marketing, as well as cross-functionally with Product, Partnerships, Engineering, DevRel, Community, Executive Leadership, and more to bring clarity to our narrative and consistency to how it's told.

What you'll do:

  • Define and lead a content strategy that ladders up to brand, marketing, and company goals.

  • Own editorial planning across multiple formats: blog posts, video scripts, social series, case studies, long-form guides, X articles, visual reports, education series, product content, and more.

  • Create high-quality content, including writing, editing, and working with multimedia creators.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and externally with ecosystem projects and partners to surface impactful stories and narratives.

  • Establish guidelines and processes to ensure brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency.

  • Use performance data to optimize content strategy and measure impact across different channels.

  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and developments.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or brand storytelling.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio that reflects breadth and depth across multiple content formats.

  • Proven ability to think strategically about content as a growth, engagement, and brand tool.

  • Comfortable operating as both a leader and an individual contributor; startups, agencies, or high-growth tech environments a strong plus.

  • Ability to translate complex or technical topics into accessible, compelling narratives.

  • Excellent cross-functional communicator who thrives in collaborative environments.

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to grind.

  • Familiarity with the Blockchain/Web3 industry is a strong plus, but not required. However, you should be excited to learn quickly.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
