Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Director to lead our short-form vertical content app business targeting the U.S. consumer market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies, overseeing production, and managing a team of creative professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of the North American content market, experience in MCN (Multi-Channel Network) environments, and established relationships with video platforms and content creators.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies aligned with the company's vision and goals.

  • Oversee the entire content production process, from concept development to final delivery.

  • Manage and mentor a team of screenwriters, producers, and editors to ensure high-quality output.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, and user acquisition, to align content initiatives with business objectives.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Manage content production budgets and optimize resource allocation.

  • Ensure all content complies with legal and regulatory standards.

  • Track, analyze, and report on content performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content management, preferably focused on vertical dramas or short-form content.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing creative teams within an MCN environment.

  • Strong network of contacts within video platforms and the North American content creation industry.

  • Professional fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to cross-border communication needs.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Deep understanding of content metrics and analytics, with the ability to use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
