Transform founder and investor interviews, transcripts, and raw viewpoints into polished stories and clips. We are hiring a Head of Content to turn the raw material behind Pairs into finished content every week: articles, posts, newsletters and video.

Pairs is a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs and angels. We screen deal flow very tightly, and the opportunities that clear our diligence go out to the network. We invest alongside them too.

THE ROLE

We have more material than we publish. That includes recorded founder and investor interviews, call transcripts, and the founders' own views on how capital gets raised. This role turns it into work people want to read and watch.

Most weeks, that means articles for our site, posts in the founders' voices and from the company on LinkedIn and X, the weekly newsletter, and short clips cut from our interview library.

You run the calendar and you keep it full. You decide what gets made from each piece of material, write and edit it yourself, and get it out on time.

You work alongside our brand and design team on the look of each asset, so your time goes to the substance: the angle, the words and the cut.

You report to the two co-founders and work with them directly. The organisation is flat, and you will see first-hand how we think about founders, investors and the market.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • The content calendar. What ships each week, on which channel, and in which voice.

  • Writing and editing. Articles, posts and newsletters, written by you or edited by you to a publishable standard.

  • Our interview library. Recorded founder and investor interviews turned into clips, quotes and stories.

  • Output and results. A steady weekly cadence, and a clear read on what founders and investors engage with.

YOU ARE A FIT IF YOU

  • Have run content for a named brand or publication on a weekly cadence, and can show the work and the results.

  • Write to a high standard in a restrained register, and can take a transcript to a finished article quickly.

  • Edit short-form video yourself, or can show clips you cut from longer recordings.

  • See the story in raw material that others would skip.

  • Work well with a designer or brand lead, and take direction on look and voice without losing pace.

  • Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality.

Familiarity with the founder and venture capital world is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Fully remote and asynchronous, with a few hours of overlap with US Eastern time each day

  • Direct access to the co-founders

  • A library of recorded founder and investor interviews ready to edit, and a video team already in place

  • The best AI tools, paid for

  • A content engine that is yours to build and run

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
