Who We Are Looking For

At Higgsfield, we’re building the future of video AI — not as a tool, but as a creative partner. We believe a new generation of storytellers, filmmakers, marketers, and visual artists is emerging. Our Head of Communications will help define that movement.

You are:

  • A world-class communications professional with 8–10+ years of experience of shaping the positioning of a high-growth tech or AI company

  • Fluent in tech and AI, especially excited about how video AI is empowering a new wave of creatives.

  • A narrative architect to position Higgsfield at the forefront of generative video by championing the new creators we empower.

  • Strong in crisis communications, proactive storytelling, and brand building.

  • Well-connected and trusted across Tier 1 media (e.g., top tech, business, and cultural outlets).

  • Strategic enough to design a long-term reputation strategy, yet hands-on enough to draft the statement yourself when timing matters most.

  • Passionate about creator ecosystems and community building: not just messaging to them, but activating them.

  • Based anywhere in the US, with the ability to travel when needed and plug deeply into the SF tech and media ecosystem.

  • Nice to have: Understanding of SEO/GEO-driven content strategy to ensure our narratives compound across search and AI discovery surfaces.

What You Will Work On

Executive & Corporate Communications

  • Shape the core narrative of Higgsfield: how video AI is expanding creative possibilities and empowering a new class of creators.

  • Develop sharp messaging frameworks aligned with our product roadmap, growth strategy, and long-term vision.

  • Own and manage our PR agency relationship end-to-end, driving media strategy and executing impactful press cycles.

  • Lead CEO and executive thought leadership: bylines, op-eds, LinkedIn presence, keynote narratives, POVs, and cultural commentary on AI and creativity.

  • Prepare executives for high-visibility media engagements with sharp briefing docs, Q&A prep, and clear positioning guidance.

PR Strategy, Media & Growth

  • Build and execute a comprehensive PR strategy that positions Higgsfield as a category-defining leader in video AI, empowering creators worldwide.

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with journalists across tech, business, AI, creator economy, and marketing trade media.

  • Drive coverage that reinforces leadership, impact, and relevance with customers, creators, and investors.

  • Translate product innovation and company growth into stories that shape how the market understands this space & position Higgsfield as a leader.

Narrative Stewardship & Market Positioning

  • Own Higgsfield’s communications across moments of heightened visibility, including product launches, industry inflection, and sensitive or complex developments.

  • Identify the right narratives, channels, and approaches to drive viral moments across both media and social, with the judgment to know how to do it right.

  • Build frameworks, playbooks, and internal alignment that enable fast, consistent, and high-quality responses.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product, legal, and marketing teams to anticipate communication needs and proactively shape external perception.

Creator & Community Activations

  • Design unique creator activations that showcase what’s possible with Higgsfield: collaborations, showcases, cultural moments.

  • Leverage a strong industry network to bring in prestigious collaborators, filmmakers, artists, and cultural voices.

  • Build programs that deepen trust and long-term engagement with our creator community.

  • Guide community messaging during launches and key moments with clarity and authenticity.

Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $175,000 – $200,000 depending on experience, skills, and location.

In addition to cash compensation, we offer equity and a benefits package to support you both professionally and personally.

Higgsfield AI is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
