The Head of Commercial Partnerships will identify, structure, and lead execution of distribution and promotion agreements that expand Sandoz International Region’s market access and accelerate portfolio growth. The role acts as a bridge between strategy, BD&L, and in-market teams, ensuring Sandoz captures high-potential regional opportunities that accelerate growth and strengthen category leadership in priority therapeutic areas.

Major accountabilities: 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

1. Opportunity Identification & Assessment

  • Screen and evaluate potential partners for distribution and promotion agreements based on portfolio synergies, commercial capabilities, country footprint and strategic fit.

  • Identify opportunities for multi-country commercial partnerships across LATAM, METAR, ASIA, Japan and Australia.

2. Partnership Structuring & Negotiation

  • Lead the structuring and negotiation of promotion, distribution, co-marketing, and co-promotion agreements.

  • Conduct market and financial analyses to support business case development and decision-making.

3. Execution & Relationship Management

  • Drive cross-functional implementation of partnership agreements, ensuring seamless collaboration across commercial, supply chain, legal, finance, and medical functions.

  • Monitor partnership performance, ensure delivery of KPIs, and manage relationship governance with key partners.

4. Strategic Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with the International Region leadership, Country Heads, and global BD&L teams to ensure strategic coherence.

  • Provide partnership insights and recommendations to inform regional commercial strategy and portfolio planning.

  • Represent Sandoz in external partner discussions and industry forums where relevant.

 Minimum Requirements: 
 
What you’ll bring to the role:

  • University Degree in a scientific of business field

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 5-years’ experience in commercial partnership, search & evaluation, business development

  • A well-established network within the industry to capture commercial partnership opportunities in emerging markets

  • Thorough understanding of International Region go-to-market archetypes

  • A track record of success in driving significant commercial partnership opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management.

  • Ability to present to senior management in a clear and concise manner.

  • Hands-on approach combined with business acumen, strategic thinking, and pragmatism.

  • Self-starter, results driven, high energy, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Strong financial modelling and valuations skills and in-depth understanding of main financial valuation methods.
