LastPass is looking for Head of Commerce & Finance Systems

LastPass is looking for a visionary and strategic leader to join us as the Head of Commerce & Finance Systems. In this high-impact role, you’ll own the end-to-end strategy, development, and operations of our eCommerce ecosystem - spanning the web (lastpass.com), subscription, billing, and payment platforms. You’ll play a pivotal role in enabling multiple company-wide strategies while ensuring a seamless, scalable, and secure digital customer journey. Reporting to the CIO, this role is central to transforming our digital business and driving customer experience at scale.

You’ll be joining the Business Technology (BizTech) team at LastPass, the driving force behind our digital transformation. BizTech partners closely with every corner of the business—from go-to-market teams to product and finance—to deliver modern, efficient, and intelligent technology solutions. We’re innovators, collaborators, and champions of operational excellence, all working to create standout experiences for our employees and customers.

Who will you work with?

This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional leadership role. You'll work alongside a talented group of peers across BizTech, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, Engineering, and Product. You'll be a thought partner to senior leadership and a key contributor in shaping company-wide strategies that drive revenue and efficiency.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Partner across business and technology teams to design world-class digital experiences at every customer touchpoint
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital technology roadmap with clearly defined target states aligned to business goals
  • Build, transform and oversee the architecture, development, and operations of eCommerce systems (subscription, billing, payment platforms, etc.), seamlessly integrating engineering platforms, and ensuring frictionless workflows that support the customer journey from purchase to renewal.
  • Oversee a team of Financial Systems product owners, developers and architects, ensuring timely development of programs and enhancements, while maintaining platform performance and scalability
  • Partner with data teams to implement insights-driven solutions, enabling actionable reporting, forecasting, and optimization of commerce operations.
  • Ensure adherence to global compliance and security standards for payments and billing systems, safeguarding customer trust and data integrity.
  • Manage and grow a high-performing global team of product owners, engineers, and administrators, fostering a culture of innovation, empowerment, and collaboration.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously innovate and improve the organization’s technology landscape.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Proven executive leadership in managing large-scale eCommerce, subscription, and payment systems for SaaS or consumer technology companies.
  • Leadership experience with Commerce platforms and progressive experience working in business technologies supporting go-to-market, finance and product organizations in bringing new products to market through a scalable high velocity self-serve and sales-assisted motion
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategies and architecture requirements into actionable and scalable technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Exceptional leadership, team building, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of SaaS business models, product led growth motions, billing workflows, and subscription-based revenue operations.
  • Proven Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver technology solutions that enhance the customer experience across web, mobile, and digital channels, ensuring seamless integration and engagement
  • Ability to drive a forward-thinking, innovative culture by identifying emerging trends, experimenting with new technologies, and quickly adapting to changing business and customer needs
  • Technical expertise in eCommerce architecture, subscription management platforms (e.g., Zuora, Stripe, RevPro), payment systems (CyberSource, Adyen, etc), Third-party vaulting (Basis Theory, IXOPAY, etc)
  • Deep expertise and knowledge on financial systems and applications ERP (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle), Tax Systems (Avalara, Vertex, etc.), Procure-Pay (NetSuite, Opstream, Coupa) and revenue recognition processes, methodologies and tooling.
  • Familiarity with global payment compliance standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

US Pay Range

$250,000$320,000 USD
