About the Role:

Cantina is building a new consumer social platform centered around content creation and real-time interaction. College campuses have historically been the launchpad for some of the most iconic social products, and this role gives you the chance to shape how an entire generation discovers and uses Cantina.

As Head of Campus Program, you will own Cantina’s college growth strategy end-to-end. You’ll make Cantina culturally relevant and widely adopted on college campuses by designing and scaling a high-impact field marketing program, blending strategy, recruiting, and execution from day one.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, launch, and scale Cantina’s national college ambassador and field marketing program.

  • Build and manage a network of Campus Leads and student ambassadors across key campuses.

  • Create programs that drive real adoption, conversation, and network density on campuses.

  • Identify and activate campus tastemakers, student leaders, and community organizers to grow Cantina’s presence.

  • Develop the campus playbook by translating your experience with proven college growth strategies from consumer social apps and brands into a new, bespoke approach suited for Cantina.

  • Travel periodically to key campuses to support leads, validate programs, and maintain quality as the program scales.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years of campus or field marketing experience, with a track record of running and growing successful college ambassador programs.

  • Strong consumer instincts from apps or brands where grassroots growth and cultural relevance mattered.

  • Exceptional recruiting instincts, with the charisma and credibility to identify high-potential student leaders and tastemakers.

  • Strategic and tactical range, able to design programs at the macro level while staying close to on-campus execution.

  • Ownership-driven, growth-stage mindset, excited to build from scratch, iterate quickly, and scale what works.

Location:

This role is fully remote within the U.S. While candidates may be based anywhere, proximity to Los Angeles, CA, Brooklyn, NY, or San Francisco, CA is a plus.

Compensation:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is between $140,000-$220,000. This role will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity package. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and generous company equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance – 99.99% of premiums covered by Cantina

  • 42 days of paid time off, including:

    • 15 PTO days

    • 10 sick days

    • 15 company holidays

    • 2 floating holidays

  • Generous parental leave & fertility support

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan

  • Lifestyle spending account – $500/month to use however you’d like

  • Complimentary lunch and snacks for in-office employees

  • One Medical membership, and more!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
