About Aidin

Hi, we're Aidin! We're here to create solutions for healthcare’s biggest challenges. Instead of waiting for someone else to step up, we rolled up our sleeves and created a better way to connect patients, payers, and care providers.

We are on a mission to defragment the healthcare ecosystem with a seamless digital platform that transforms healthcare for good and improves outcomes for all.

What we do

Aidin is a dynamic healthcare technology company dedicated to revolutionizing care coordination and post-acute care transitions. Our innovative platform empowers healthcare organizations to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and ensure patients receive the highest quality post-acute care.

You can learn more about us at www.myaidin.com.

About the Opportunity

Aidin is looking for a strategic, commercially-minded, and hands-on Head of Authorizations Product and Operations to own the full lifecycle of our Prior Authorizations product and business line. You will lead Product and Operations for PAC Prior Auths, making prior authorization disappear as a barrier to post-acute care—replacing uncertainty with confidence and delays with timely transitions.

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be accountable for delivering incremental Authorizations revenue by expanding payor coverage, driving product utilization, and controlling cost per auth. You will lead a cross-functional team of 8+ people, including 4 engineers and 3 operations associates, with close collaboration and support from Aidin’s Marketing, Support, and Implementation teams.

The ideal candidate is a cross-functional leader who can work at the intersection of product strategy, partnerships, and operational oversight. You’ll be comfortable negotiating with a payor, defining a product roadmap, and coaching an operations team toward better outcomes—using AI tools fluently throughout.

Key Outcomes

  • Deliver incremental Authorizations revenue by expanding payor coverage, driving product utilization, and enabling the Growth team to land new clients
  • Expand payor coverage and utilization across our customer base
  • Scale Authorizations operations to support 2–3X auth volume while reducing the cost per auth
  • Demonstrably reduce hospital length-of-stay (LOS) through faster, more reliable prior auth workflows

What You Will Do

Lead Product Strategy and Roadmap for Prior Auths

  • Define our product strategy and roadmap for PAC Prior Auths to increase coverage and utilization of the product, and drive LOS reduction for our hospital customers
  • Lead a dedicated engineering team of 4+ engineers; work closely with Engineering, Design, and Clinical/Operations to ship high-leverage features
  • Build and maintain the cross-functional scorecard for Authorizations Adoption—coverage, utilization, # of clients, and cost-per-auth

Oversee Prior Auths Operations for Outcomes

  • Direct a team of Operations Associates (line managed by our Head of Customer Operations) toward outcomes; set priorities, define playbooks, and evolve the operating model as we scale
  • Build scalable prior auth operations to enable 2–3X auths volume while reducing the cost per auth submission
  • Define the right balance of software automation and human workflow; leverage AI tools to take repetitive work out of the loop
  • Own cost-per-auth as a guardrail KPI and continuously identify quick wins and structural improvements

Grow the Payor, Clearinghouse, and Partner Ecosystem

  • Negotiate new relationships with payors, clearinghouses, and software partners to expand auths coverage
  • Own the payor coverage roadmap across direct submission, portal submission, clearinghouse integrations, and fax-based workflows
  • Build the commercial and operational case for each partnership, and lead negotiations through to signed agreements and live integrations
  • Represent Aidin externally with payors, clearinghouses (e.g., Experian, Waystar), and ecosystem partners

Drive Prior Auths Implementation with Customers

  • Oversee implementation of prior auths with new and existing customers, partnering closely with the Onboarding Director and Implementation team
  • Build repeatable, productized implementation processes for Authorizations so new customers activate faster and with less bespoke effort
  • Own the handoff from new-client sign to live, trained usage, and make sure implementation timelines land on schedule
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success to drive adoption and retention post go-live

Partner Cross-Functionally on Authorizations

  • Partner with Marketing to shape positioning and customer-facing materials for Authorizations
  • Work with Support to reduce operational load and remove toil through product improvements
  • Communicate focus goals, initiatives, KPIs, and progress clearly to the cross-functional team, ELT, and Aidin Board

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience across Product Management, Strategy & Operations, or Management Consulting
  • Operating experience is a must—you’ve owned outcomes, run a team, and shipped real change, not just slides
  • Track record of owning commercial outcomes and leading negotiations with external partners
  • Product-minded with a knack for improving systems, workflows, and user experiences; comfortable writing requirements for engineers and prioritizing a roadmap
  • Strong client-facing skills; comfortable leading meetings and managing executive relationships on both the customer and partner side
  • Highly organized, analytically sharp, and able to track multiple threads and drive toward clarity
  • Fluent with AI tools and actively uses them to accelerate work across product, operations, and communication
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote, fast-paced tech environment
  • Line management experience is a plus
  • Healthcare experience—especially in prior authorizations, utilization management, revenue cycle, or payor/provider operations—is a plus

  • Mission-Driven Culture: Contribute to a mission that directly transforms patient care and outcomes
  • Generous PTO and Holidays: Balance your hard work with the downtime you need
  • Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy autonomy in your schedule and location - we care more about impact than office face-time
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Access to a robust benefits package designed to promote overall well-being
  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate with talented, motivated professionals at a lean, high-growth organization where your voice truly matters

Commitment to Diversity

At Aidin, we strive to create a respectful environment where everyone can bring their authentic self to work and feel free of harassment, racism, and discrimination. We are committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and we prohibit discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
