The Role 

Reporting to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition, the Head of APAC TA plays a critical role in the execution of all TA activities occurring in the high growth APAC region for Agilent. This individual will lead the regional recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives while addressing local market dynamics. This role is responsible for leading and building a high-performing TA team, driving employer branding, and delivering exceptional candidate and client experiences across multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region.  This individual will also serve as a critical team member of the global Talent Acquisition Leadership Team (TALT), contributing to and leading broader TA priorities, activities, and strategies as part of the Agilent Ignite Transformation. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategy and Leadership 

  • Design, develop, and implement a holistic APAC talent acquisition strategy aligned with global TA initiatives and regional business objectives (e.g., market expansion, new function establishment). 

  • Act as a strategic advisor to APAC executive leadership and HR partners on workforce planning, location strategy, and competitive talent market intelligence, where appropriate. 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, geographically distributed team of TA team members, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

  • Collaborate with business and corporate partners to anticipate workforce needs and design proactive pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions. 

  • Executes a consistent, disciplined process that improves speed, quality of hire, and stakeholder experience. 

  • Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and objectives while maintaining agility in execution. 

 

Operational Excellence 

  • Optimize regional recruitment processes, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a consistently positive candidate and hiring manager experience and in close alignment with global TA protocols. 

  • Leverage recruitment technology (ATS, CRM, AI tools) to drive efficiency and generate actionable insights. 

Metrics and Reporting 

  • In collaboration with global TA leaders, define and track key APAC TA performance metrics, including quality of hire, recruitment cycle time, and hiring forecast accuracy. 

  • Provide regular, data-driven reports and presentations on regional TA performance and strategic challenges/opportunities to global and regional leadership. 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-country TA operations within the APAC region (e.g., China, Japan, Singapore, India, Australia, etc.). 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA/Master's) is a plus. 

  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to translate business strategy into a tactical and effective talent acquisition plan. 

  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and scaling a geographically dispersed, high-volume recruiting team. 

  • Communication: Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executive-level leaders. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Recruitment CRMs (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Lever).

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
