What will you do:
- Translate customer requirements into detailed design specifications and execute schematic capture. Optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) by selecting suitable components. Conduct thorough debugging and testing at both board and system levels.
- Collaborate closely with layout engineers, overseeing board placement, and establishing layout guidelines. Engage with engineers from various functional teams to identify and address hardware system issues during the development phase, ensuring product quality enhancement.
- Ensure project deliverables adhere to engineering specifications, regulatory standards, and EMC compliance.
- Provide robust technical support to the production team throughout both development and mass production stages.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills by preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including layout instructions, product specifications, and verification plans.
- Lead hardware design activities from prototype to production phases, driving resolutions for customer reported issues.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Up to 2 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair electronic assemblies to the component level is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to work with customers as well as internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Familiarity with high-speed design and debug techniques.
- Familiarity with PC architecture.
- Must be organized through and possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to use engineering tools, including Orcad Schematic Capture, to view schematics.
- Able to use Allegro Viewers to read and understand Printed Circuit Board layouts.
- Know how to use small tools like screw drivers and plyers.
- Familiar with Product Life Management tools such as Agile and understand.
- Ability and organize data and information, and discuss/present it to cross functional teams, customers, and/or as needed.
