MISSION:

The mission of the YMCA of the Foothills is to organize, develop, finance, and conduct programs for an association of persons of all ages that will, by putting Christian principles into practice, enrich the quality of their lives spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Lead and guide a group of youth in meaningful, safe activities that allow and provide for the best possible experience. This position is focused on nurturing the potential of youth using a variety of tools including the Y voice and core values.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan and execute a fun, educations and instructional Gymnastic class.
  • Builds effective relationship with participants, their parents and staff.
  • Promotes positive environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Minimum 16 years of age
•    Must be CPR certified within 90 days of hire, the YMCA will provide the training
•    Experience in teaching gymnastics, with all aspects of tumbling and apparatus
•    Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
•    Must be able to model the core values; Caring, Respect, Responsibility, and Honesty.
•    Ability to follow and accept instruction, and relate well with peers.
•    Must have commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA and uphold its values and ethics.
•    Ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions
•    CPR and First Aid certifications required or within 90 days of hire.
