About this Role

As a GTM Strategy Manager within an advertising platform, you will lead the development and execution of Fandom’s proactive advertising solutions, packages and products for the advertising marketplace. This role is critical in shaping Fandom’s advertising go-to-market strategies by creating scalable, standardized offerings that meet client needs across key verticals such as Gaming, Entertainment, QSR and CPG.

You will act as a bridge between sales, account management, client strategy and product teams, ensuring alignment and delivering impactful advertising solutions. Your expertise will guide the creation of sales collateral, training resources, and media/advertising packages, while driving feedback loops to continuously refine offerings.

If you excel at translating technical capabilities and marketplace gaps into compelling advertising solutions, managing cross-functional collaboration, and staying ahead of industry trends, this position offers a dynamic opportunity to innovate and influence Fandom’s GTM advertising strategies.

You Will...
  • Own the strategy for developing Fandom’s proactive and scalable advertising products and solutions, ensuring Fandom has repeatable, scalable solutions that meet client goals and can be executed at a low lift internally. Spanning packaging, positioning, training, and feedback loop between Product and Sales
  • Responsible for contributing to advertising GTM strategy and translating into standardized sales offering (rotational media and sponsorships), and then further creating vertical-specific positioning for Fandom’s top verticals (ex-Gaming, Entertainment, Government, CPG, QSR, Financial Services).
  • Subject matter expert on Fandom’s ad capabilities- spanning targeting and rotational media, to takeovers, sponsorships, integrations and programmatic.
  • Lens towards standardization, working closely with Client Strategy to identify which initial custom solutions can be standardized, and Rev Ops to identify different targeting combinations and top performers to also roll into off-the-shelf targeting packages.
  • Identify use cases and client needs by vertical and then define and map to Fandom offering, ensuring off-the-shelf solutions (and associated positioning) to meet all use cases where Fandom has a unique value prop and right to win.
  • Create and maintain templatized sales collateral (ex- decks, one sheeters, FAQs).
  • Partner cross-functionally to own the feedback loop between Rev org and Product/Engineering. Work closely with Account Managers and Client Strategy as the input on feedback against current offering. And then with Product to scope requirements and prioritize changes to existing and future underlying product capabilities.
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management to understand client needs, current gaps in offering, and then own the strategy and execution between how those gaps are closed. And then Rev Ops to identify how current packages are being used and performing. All to refine existing collateral and identify opportunities for additional packages and ad capabilities. Ranging from working with Product on net new capabilities, to crafting new packages and off-the-shelf offerings on existing products.
  • Own the product marketing strategy and roll out timeline for new product launches. This includes identifying Alpha and Beta and General Release stage and criteria for progressing. All collaborating with Product through to Sales, Account Management and CSM teams to ensure clear communication and realistic timeline.
  • Develop tools, training, and resources (beyond collateral) to equip Sales, Account Management, and CSM  teams with the right product knowledge.
  • Actively refine existing offerings based on client and internal feedback.
You Have...
  • 5+ years of experience in advertising sales marketing, advertising solutions, product marketing or a GTM or sales support at a publisher or social platform. Or as a strategy lead at an agency.
  • Proven track record of standardizing once-custom executions/solutions/concepts. Working cross-functionally to define each component, and scope what can be standardized and associated trade-offs.
  • Strong background in creating sales collateral, product packages, and driving GTM activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences (both internal- from Sales, AM, CSM, and across client levels- CMP, VP, Media Buyer, and client verticals).
  • Ability to understand technical and data product capabilities and translate them into clear, simple, compelling packages and sales offering with value propositions mapped to use cases.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data and customer feedback to inform product decisions and marketing strategies.
  • Highly collaborative and able to build relationships across teams, driving consensus and alignment.

  • Training (unlimited Udemy + more)
  • Flexible working hours and time off
  • Equity & Retirement Programs including 401K match

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
