Partiful's mission is to cultivate friendships through social events.

We believe parties (and other social events) are the most effective way to meet new people and make friends. Our product helps you throw incredible events, starting with memorable party pages that make it easy to plan & communicate with guests — download the app to see how it works!

We're building new ways to streamline planning, connect meaningfully in the real world, and make connections between friends-of-friends. Our ultimate vision is to power everything you do in-person with your friends, eliminating the friction of bringing your most memorable experiences to life. You can read more about our mission in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Wirecutter, and USA Today. Partiful was also recently named Google’s Best App of 2024, a Finalist for Apple’s App Store Awards, and Apple’s App of the Day (awarded twice in 3 months).

Our company is backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures, and advised by the founders of some of the most successful consumer social products ever made.

The Role

We’re looking for a scrappy, entrepreneurial Go-To-Market Manager to lead the growth of Partiful in this market. You’ll be the driving force behind launching and scaling our user base here—owning every aspect of growth from the ground up. That means crafting and executing creative grassroots campaigns, forming strategic partnerships, onboarding and supporting local power hosts and organizations, and getting early users excited to try and share the product. You’ll act as the face of Partiful in your city, deeply embedded in its social fabric, with the autonomy to test, iterate, and figure out what works. You’ll own your city like a founder: part community builder, part growth marketer, part operator.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for growth in this market; own city-level goals and KPIs

  • Identify, onboard, and support Organizations and Power Hosts—helping them create great events and drive platform usage

  • Plan and execute launch activations and local marketing campaigns

  • Source and develop strategic partnerships with influential brands

  • Leverage data to monitor city performance, optimize conversion, and inform growth strategies

  • Be the eyes and ears on the ground, providing product feedback and shaping our go-to-market playbook

  • Work cross-functionally with community and marketing teams to localize content and strategy for your market

  • Host and attend really cool parties

You’re likely a good fit if you:

  • Have 1-3 years of experience in consulting, or growth at a consumer startup

  • Thrive in zero-to-one environments—you're scrappy, resourceful, and action-oriented

  • Have strong local knowledge of your city and know how to navigate its social scenes

  • Love meeting people and naturally build relationships with creators, organizers, and connectors

  • Are data-oriented—you can use metrics to inform tactics and iterate fast

  • Know how to hustle offline: from coffee shop flyers to launch parties

  • Are passionate about bringing people together and building community through events

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build the blueprint for how we expand city by city

In your application, please include a note on what's got you excited about Partiful!

We're an equal-opportunity employer and strongly encourage applicants from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to apply. We're proud to be a diverse team, and actively work to bring new perspectives to the table.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
