About the role
Versapay is hiring its first GTM Engineer to remove manual work from the revenue engine, speed up response to inbound demand, and run automated outbound plays for Sales and Marketing. You will design, build and maintain the workflows, integrations and AI agents that connect our GTM systems, with Salesforce as the system of record.
This is a builder role inside Revenue Operations and reports to VP of Revenue Operations. You will own problems end to end: find where reps and marketers lose time, design the fix, ship it, and measure the result. We care about hours given back to the field and faster pipeline, not about how many tools/workflows you deploy.

What you'll do

Speed to lead and inbound orchestration
  • Own the inbound path from form fill or meeting request to first rep touch, and cut response time to minutes.
  • Build lead-to-account matching, qualification and routing logic, with clear SLAs and alerts when they are missed.
  • Design and automate instant follow-up: rep notifications, meeting booking, and context-rich handoffs so reps know who they are talking to before they call.
  •
Automated plays for Sales and Marketing
  • In partnership with marketing design signal-based plays, for example website visits from target accounts, product or event engagement, job changes of known champions, and renewal or expansion triggers.
  • Turn each signal into an action: a task, an alert, a sequence enrollment or an account brief for the right owner.
  • Partner with Marketing on campaign follow-up, event lead processing and nurture handoffs so no lead sits untouched.
  •
    Eliminating manual work
  • Map where reps, SDRs, marketers and CSMs spend time on low-value tasks, and rank fixes by hours saved.
  • Automate CRM hygiene: field completion, duplicate prevention, activity capture and stage-change requirements.
  • Build AI-assisted workflows such as pre-call account research, call summaries written back to Salesforce, follow-up email drafts and deal-risk flags.
  •
    Data and enrichment
  • Improve coverage and accuracy of account and contact data using our current data sources.
  • Support the evaluation if we choose a dedicated enrichment and orchestration platform (for example Clay), and lead its rollout if approved.
  •
    Systems, integrations and governance
  • Support integrations between Salesforce, marketing automation, sales engagement, conversation intelligence and other GTM tools, using APIs, webhooks and workflow platforms.
  • Work within Salesforce data-model and change-control standards set with the Salesforce admin team.
  • Document every workflow: what it does, what it writes, who owns it and how to turn it off.
  •

What you'll bring

    Required
  • 4+ years in a technical GTM role such as GTM engineering, RevOps systems, marketing ops engineering or sales ops automation at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Deep working knowledge of Salesforce: objects, fields, flows, validation rules, and how lead, contact, account and opportunity data relate.
  • Hands-on experience building production workflows in at least one automation platform, such as n8n, Workato, Make, Zapier or Tray.
  • Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON and authentication; able to read API docs and connect two systems without vendor help.
  • Working scripting skills in Python or JavaScript, and basic SQL.
  • Practical experience using LLMs in workflows: prompt design, structured outputs, testing for accuracy, and knowing when not to use AI.
  • A track record of shipping automations that measurably saved time or improved conversion, with numbers to show it.
  • Clear written documentation habits and the judgment to build things others can maintain.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with Clay or similar enrichment and orchestration tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo workflows, Common Room).
  • Experience with lead routing and scheduling tools such as LeanData or Chili Piper.
  • Experience with intent platforms, such as 6sense or Demandbase
  • Familiarity with marketing automation (ex., HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, Gong Engage).
  • Exposure to a data warehouse and reverse ETL (ex., Snowflake).
  • Experience in a PE-backed or fast-scaling SaaS company, or in fintech, payments or AR/AP software.

How we'll measure success

Success means faster pipeline and fewer manual hours, measured against a baseline set in your first 30 days.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent β€” not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
