Modern software runs on open source — and managing the compliance, security, and regulatory complexity that comes with it is one of the biggest problems facing engineering and legal teams today. FOSSA is the platform they use to address these challenges. We help thousands of organizations automate license compliance, prioritize vulnerabilities, generate and operationalize SBOMs, and meet regulatory requirements. Whether it's scanning AI-generated code for IP risks or helping a company through M&A due diligence, FOSSA gives teams the confidence to ship software they trust.

FOSSA is a rapidly growing series-B company with a truly distributed team. While our roots are in San Francisco, our growing team has members in several countries across many time zones. We’re always working to find the perfect balance of effective approaches to distributed work, while maintaining the direct personal connections that help us work better together and love our jobs.

As FOSSA continues to grow, we’re seeking a GTM Engineer to design and implement smarter systems that elevate how we market, sell, and support our customers. In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with go‑to‑market insight to apply automation and AI in ways that drive meaningful leverage across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to better serve our highly technical buyers in Engineering, Security, and Legal, building the next generation of AI-powered GTM systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement emerging AI tools to drive measurable GTM efficiency and effectiveness
  • Automate pre- and post-event workflows for marketing campaigns, lead capture, and content distribution
  • Enable intuitive knowledge discovery with intelligent, searchable internal systems for Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Orchestrate ABM campaigns across channels with dynamic personalization and closed-loop measurement
  • Enhance revenue forecasting with AI-assisted frameworks, automated performance tracking, and predictive analytics
  • Develop educational lead magnets, calculators, interactive tools, and other content to engage targeted micro-segments
  • Automate QBR decks, competitive briefs, and reporting from product usage, revenue, and account health signals
  • Generate AI-driven sales decks tailored to buyer role, industry, and deal stage, eliminating one-size-fits-all materials
  • Launch AI-driven re-engagement campaigns to revive closed-lost opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in GTM, RevOps, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, consulting, or a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Self-starter who can own projects end-to-end in a distributed, remote-first environment
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI/LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) to automate workflows, generate content, analyze data, or improve operational efficiency
  • Strong prompt-writing and iteration skills, able to refine AI output for clarity, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Analytical thinker who can translate business challenges into structured AI workflows and measurable outcomes
  • Comfortable with APIs, integrations, and basic SQL/data querying. Bonus points for familiarity with GTM tools (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot, and Marketo).
  • Experience supporting technical buyers (Engineering, Security, Legal) or working with technical workflows, DevOps, OSS, or compliance tooling
  • Clear and concise communicator, able to translate technical concepts into actionable business insights and manage requests from multiple internal stakeholders

Why you'll love working at FOSSA:

  • A high-performing, supportive team with an exceptional culture where your work truly matters
  • Recognized nationally as a Best Startup to Work For by Built In (2024, 2025, 2026) and Forbes (2022)
  • Competitive compensation package including salary and meaningful equity ownership
  • Industry-leading benefits: 100% employer-paid medical premiums for employees and 75% coverage for dependents, plus dental and vision insurance, FSA, and 401(k)
  • Unlimited PTO so you can recharge and bring your best self to work

The annual cash compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $200,000 CAD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed.

FOSSA is an equal-opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
