We are scaling our Product-Led Growth (PLG) motion and seeking an experienced and data-driven Growth Product Manager to lead this cross-functional team. You’ll own the roadmap and experimentation strategy to drive user activation, engagement, retention, and expansion; with an initial focus on improving customer retention through increased product usage.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead PLG Strategy & Roadmap: Own and continuously refine the PLG roadmap, aligning quarterly priorities with business goals and leading indicators such as activation, decreased time to value, and product usage.
  • Own Experimentation Lifecycle: Drive ideation, prioritization (using ICE scoring), and execution of growth experiments across the user journey – from onboarding prospects to customer expansion.
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with UX, lifecycle marketing, customer success, operations, and engineering to deliver cohesive and impactful PLG initiatives.
  • Instrument and Analyze Metrics: Define success metrics, ensure proper instrumentation, and analyze outcomes to measure impact on product engagement and customer retention.
  • Optimize User Journey: Leverage tools like Pendo (especially Pendo Guides) to design and build in-app onboarding, guidance, and adoption flows; integrate with email, lifecycle, and customer success platforms.
  • Ensure Organizational Alignment: Present roadmaps and outcomes to stakeholders, and coordinate rollout of successful experiments in partnership with GTM and support teams.
  • Document and Share Learnings: Maintain thorough records of tests, results, and learnings to inform future strategy and build organizational knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in a growth-focused role within a SaaS or product-led organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Pendo, especially Pendo Guides, including creating, optimizing, and testing in-app workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to use data to inform decision-making and experiment design.
  • Desire to dive deep into the details, move quickly and fully own the outcomes.
  • Experience with product analytics tools such as Heap, Mixpanel, or Amplitude to monitor user behavior, build funnels, and evaluate experiments.
  • Familiarity with Marketo, ChurnZero, Intercom, and other tools supporting lifecycle marketing and customer engagement.
  • Deep understanding of PLG methodologies and lifecycle metrics (activation, retention, expansion).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working across marketing, UX, engineering, and CS functions.
  • Familiarity with iterative testing methodologies and the ability to isolate risk through controlled “blast radius” testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Additional Experience Considered a Plus:

  • Prior experience working on onboarding, self-service flows, and in-product adoption strategies.
  • Familiarity with the “Hacking Growth” playbook or other PLG frameworks.
  • Experience in workforce analytics, productivity SaaS, or related domains.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Remote-first position within US
  • Minimal travel required
  • Limited physical demands

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
