About the Role

LlamaIndex is seeking a T-shaped, impact-driven, growth marketer to own the entire Growth Engine — spanning inbound and demand gen, PLG, and GTM engineering (or ops). You’ll operate at the intersection of growth strategy, systems design, and tactical execution, building scalable programs that help the company meet revenue targets. You’ll combine analytical rigor with creative experimentation, ensuring every level of the funnel is measurable, optimized, and aligned to our revenue goals for both our top-down sales and bottoms-up PLG motion. And, yes, you’ll get to use a lot of AI at work. In fact, you’ll be expected to.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to be at the driver’s seat of one of the largest AI developer communities (4 million downloads a month of open source and 300k+ signups of our cloud platform), acutely in charge of building demand for our commercial products. You will also work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product leadership as well as founders to plan and execute growth strategies.

What You’ll Do
  • Inbound & Demand Generation: Build and run targeted growth campaigns, field events, webinars, ABM, and multi-channel campaigns to create qualified pipeline.

  • PLG: Build and experiment with growth campaigns, nurture loops, and onboarding efficiencies that help drive self-serve revenue growth

  • Lifecycle Marketing: Design automated onboarding, nurture, and retention programs to maximize activation and LTV.

  • Ops & GTM Engineering: Own the growth tech stack, data pipelines, and reporting to ensure full-funnel visibility and optimization.

  • Analytics & Insight: Monitor performance, run experiments, and distill learnings into repeatable, scalable playbooks.

  • SEO and web: Drive SEO, and website strategy to attract, capture, and convert high-intent audiences.

Who You Are
  • 2-7 years in growth, ops, or a GTM-focused role

  • Deep expertise in one or more growth disciplines with broad skills across others.

  • Experience with the latest GTM AI stack, including traditional tools like Hubspot and Apollo

  • A systems thinker who can design scalable campaigns and execute them effectively.

  • Analytical and creative — using data to guide bold, well-structured experiments.

  • Collaborative and resourceful, with a bias toward speed and iteration.

  • Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS, AI infrastructure tools, or early-stage startups.

Location

San Francisco, CA preferred; open to remote US for extraordinary candidates.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

LlamaIndex does not accept unsolicited agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias, employees, or any other organization location. LlamaIndex is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
