About Keeper

Bookkeepers today are stuck working in excel spreadsheets and homegrown project management solutions to support their clients. Keeper is on a mission to change that.

With our all-in-one tool, bookkeepers can manage their work, communicate with clients, catch hard-to-find errors, and deliver reports to help their small business customers make smarter strategic decisions.

Founded in 2021, Keeper has raised $12M in funding, backed by leading tech investors like Y Combinator and founders at top startups like Lattice, Front, Superhuman, Plaid, and more. Keeper currently helps thousands of bookkeepers and accountants manage the books for startups and small businesses across the US.

Keeper is at an exciting moment in the startup journey. We have product market fit and a roster of customers who love us. Our marketing team is small but hungry. We're looking for a Growth Manager who's ready to step on the gas to get the flywheel moving.

What You'll Do

We’re looking for our first growth marketing hire to help us build and scale our growth engine from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to execute campaigns across multiple channels, test new tactics, and help drive qualified leads to our sales team. This role is perfect for someone with a few years of marketing experience at a fast-paced B2B startup who’s ready to take on more ownership while still learning from experienced leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Campaign Execution: Run campaigns across core channels such as email, paid, SEO, and outbound, with an eye toward measurable growth.

  • Drive the martech stack: Help us as we build a modern tech stack and lead the way on experimenting and implementing new tactics and tools.

  • Own website performance: Take primary responsibility for ensuring the website is a high-converting growth channel.

  • PLG marketing support: Collaborate with product and marketing to create campaigns that drive sign-ups, onboard users, and encourage product adoption.

Must Haves
  • 2–5 years of Growth/Demand Gen Marketing experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS (Seed–Series C).

  • Hands-on experience executing marketing campaigns using modern tools and AI.

  • Willingness to try anything once, and see failure as a data-point that helps us get to success.

  • Comfortable managing projects across multiple channels and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Marketo or Hubspot) and a hunger to create a best-in-class martech stack.

  • Analytical mindset — able to use data to evaluate success and inform decisions.

  • A one-page resume.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience with SEO, SEM, AEO, or paid social campaigns.

  • Ability to work with APIs or no-code tools (Zapier, Make, Clay) to connect systems and automate workflows.

  • Experience running lifecycle campaigns that improve product activation, engagement, and retention.

  • Understanding of lead scoring, routing, and CRM data hygiene.

Benefits
  • Competitive pay and equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • 100% sponsored Health, dental, and vision insurance

Keeper provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
