Description

At Grip, we’re not just protecting companies against risks— we’re redefining how cybersecurity works in a SaaS-first world. As a category-defining startup, we move fast, think big, and operate with a builder’s mindset. We believe growth isn’t just a function — it’s a culture. If you love solving tough problems, running smart experiments, and building scalable systems that move the needle, you might be the growth hacker we’re looking for.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Growth Hacker — part marketer, part salesperson, part entrepreneur. You’ll sit at the intersection of data, content, and experimentation, working across the go-to-market (GTM) team to unlock new channels, optimize conversions, and accelerate pipeline creation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on testing, iterating, and breaking through noise with smart, scrappy tactics. You’re analytical, creative, and obsessed with measurable outcomes. Most importantly, you bring a growth mindset to everything you do.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with demand gen, product marketing, sales, and web teams to align growth initiatives with GTM strategy
  • Be Resourceful: Get things done with speed and creativity, regardless of budget or headcount constraints
  • Uncover New Channels: Identify and activate untapped acquisition strategies — viral loops, community engagement, referral programs, content syndication, and more
  • Design & Run Experiments: Launch rapid-growth tests across channels (email, social, SEO, paid, landing pages, partnerships, etc.) and double down on what works
  • Own Key Metrics: Track, analyze, and report on key growth KPIs (traffic, lead gen, conversion rates, CAC, etc.) and use data to drive decision-making
  • Create High-Impact Content: Collaborate on or repurpose content that fuels campaigns across social, email, blog, and paid media

Requirements
  • Entrepreneurial spirit — scrappy, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • 4–7 years of experience in a growth marketing, performance marketing, or similar role — ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS or cybersecurity startup
  • Strong technical fluency — comfortable with marketing tools, CRMs, web analytics, SEO platforms, and social media
  • A sharp analytical mindset with a knack for numbers, testing frameworks, and funnel optimization
  • Proven ability to drive measurable results through experimentation and creative tactics
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
