The Opportunity:

Provides technical sales support for First Mile solutions within the United States geography. Responsibilities include value proposition and sales support of all First Mile solutions, offering an integrated approach with the related account teams.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Serve as subject matter expert on solutions selling First Mile container drayage solutions for containerized cargo.
  • Support new & existing First Mile sales opportunities from origination to completion.
  • Maintain commercial pipeline to support identified annual sales budget for First Mile segment.
  • Oversee internal solution calls including kickoff, pacing, executive meetings, and final reviews.
  • Communicate First Mile sales updates with internal stakeholders & executives.
  • Prepare First Mile collateral including proposal documents, customer presentations, marketing materials.
  • Monitor First Mile sales opportunity tracker.
  • Collaborate with Store Door & Multi-Carrier Pricing teams & external product teams.
  • Support First Mile contract & NDA process including collaboration with First Mile Tech Sales & legal on contract redlines, follow up, executive signature and contract repository management.
  • Effectively represent Maersk in interactions with external stakeholders, including customers and professional associations and represent department in internal meetings, when required.
  • Ensure compliance with Maersk values and federal, state, and local laws & regulations. 
  • Performs other position related duties as specified by management.

Education and Experience: 

  • BA / BS preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred and or higher degree of education.
  • 5 years plus of industry experience, preferably in Transportation

Technical Skills and Competencies Required: 

  • Strong understanding of transportation, particularly drayage and depot solutions.
  • An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • A strategic visionary with strong Transportation technical skills along with analytical ability, good judgment.
  • Excellent consultative skills: ability to identify needs and translate into solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills: can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses. 
  • Proven record of customer management and ability to develop relationships.
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility, manage resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to train, coach, evaluate and mentor. 
  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills, strong cultural awareness.
  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player.
  • Result oriented – Drives for results and success, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition.
  • Proven ability to deliver even under pressure.

Job Type:

Full Time

Salary:

$120,000.00 to $140,000.00

Benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.  The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
