About Wolf Games

Wolf Games is building the platform for generative entertainment universes — living, ever-expanding worlds where creators, players, and AI collaborate in real time. Our first universe, Public Eye, turns everyone into a detective. Across a suite of crime-solving games, players collect evidence, crack cases, and rise through the ranks of a connected detective program.

We’re early, fast-moving, and scrappy — blending storytelling, gameplay, and AI to create experiences that couldn’t exist in any other era. Our culture is built on small wins that lead to big wins, respect for our craft, and persistence when things get tough.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Growth & Community Lead to bring players into Public Eye and build the foundation of our player community. This role is about driving acquisition and learning fast: running experiments, optimizing funnels, and showing up authentically with our first players.

This isn’t a typical “brand” role — we need someone who thrives in the weeds: writing copy, testing creative, engaging in Discord, and collaborating closely with product and creative teammates. If you’re scrappy, collaborative, and motivated by the thrill of making players say “wow,” you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive early player acquisition through distribution partnerships with large digital media networks, reaching millions of potential players.
  • Design and run creative experiments to find what resonates (from headlines to in-universe teasers).
  • Track and optimize funnel performance, building lightweight dashboards for learning.
  • Launch and nurture our first Discord community, serving as the “voice of Public Eye.”
  • Collaborate with influencers and creators to showcase Public Eye to new audiences.
  • Pilot guerilla marketing and event activations (e.g., posters, QR code drops, presence at true crime or puzzle events) to test unconventional ways of reaching players.
  • Work closely with product, design, and AI resources to move fast on creative testing.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–6 years in growth marketing, UA, or community-driven consumer products (gaming a plus).
  • Proven track record of running scrappy acquisition campaigns with measurable results.
  • Strong copywriting skills and willingness to be player-facing (Discord, community, maybe on-camera).
  • Data-driven mindset: comfortable designing experiments and interpreting funnel metrics.
  • Excited to work in an early-stage environment where you’ll wear multiple hats and ask for help when needed.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
