Casap is a Series A startup based in San Francisco founded by product leaders from Robinhood and Chime. We are on a mission to change the way banks operate by building an autonomous banking platform from the ground up. We’re starting with automating dispute and chargeback resolution and already, customers and the industry love our product. Casap is backed by Lightspeed Ventures, Primary Ventures, and a variety of strategic investors and partners.

Casap is looking for a Growth Associate to help build relationships and source sales opportunities with Bank, Credit Union, and Fintech leaders.

As a Growth Associate, you’ll partner directly with a Senior Account Executive to break into a focused list of strategic accounts. Your job is to create the right opportunities through smart research, thoughtful outreach, and building real relationships that turn into pipeline.

There’s tremendous demand for Casap’s product. We just need to educate the market so we’re top of mind when the timing’s right for them to evaluate.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with a Senior Account Executive to develop and execute outreach campaigns for a targeted list of strategic accounts

  • Conduct disciplined, personalized prospecting through calls, emails, and LinkedIn - never robotic or bulk messaging

  • Research accounts thoroughly, identify the right contacts, and craft tailored engagement strategies

  • Excel in mock calls and practice sessions to continuously sharpen messaging and delivery

  • Support account planning, territory strategy, and relationship building across longer sales cycles

  • Travel to industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to meet prospects and generate pipeline

  • Help organize and host smaller events (dinners, roundtables, briefings) to connect with executives in target accounts

  • Track activities and pipeline development in the CRM with consistency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • You could really be anyone, BUT most likely you have same sales experience (even if selling something totally unrelated to what Casap does)

  • Strong mix of EQ and IQ: able to connect with people while quickly understanding business needs

  • Disciplined, organized, and persistent - you follow through and don’t let opportunities slip

  • High initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Comfortable on the phones and in meetings with senior executives

  • Coachable and eager to learn, with long-term interest in building a sales career

  • Comfortable with 1–2 trips per month for conferences or client events

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
