About Artisan

Artisan is building the next generation of AI-native go-to-market solutions. Our AEs are not “order takers”—they are strategic partners to our customers and early builders of the sales engine. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, learns quickly, and can sell complex and evolving AI products into senior revenue functions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a smart, strategic, resourceful Account Executive with a proven track record of closing $40K to six-figure SaaS contracts across multiple stakeholders (Sales, BD, Marketing, RevOps). You must be a fast learner, strong communicator, and highly effective in consultative, multi-threaded deals.

This is a role for an experienced closer who can own deals end to end, navigate executive conversations, and operate with autonomy in an early-stage environment that does not yet have the collateral, processes, or sales leadership of a mature GTM org.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from qualification to close, focusing on sign-and-pay SaaS contracts.

  • Sell complex, AI-powered solutions into senior GTM leaders (VP Sales, CROs, CMOs, RevOps).

  • Build and maintain multi-stakeholder deal strategies across sales, marketing, BD, finance, and operations.

  • Rapidly develop expertise in Artisan’s product, competitive landscape, and GTM ecosystem.

  • Run highly polished discovery, demos, proposals, and executive presentations.

  • Create (not wait for) collateral such as business cases, competitive breakdowns, and ROI analyses.

  • Navigate objections with calm professionalism; be credible saying “I don’t know” when needed.

  • Develop strong champions and guide them through internal buying processes—even without mature PMM assets.

  • Contribute to pipeline generation through intelligent outreach and creative tactics.

  • Partner closely with product and leadership to bring customer insights back into the roadmap.

Key Traits We’re Looking For

🧠 Intelligent & Fast Learning

You can absorb complex information quickly—competitive landscape, GTM frameworks, AI product capabilities—and use it to run sophisticated deal cycles from day one.

🛠 Resourceful & Scrappy

You take initiative, fill gaps, and build what you need. Whether it’s creating a business case, crafting a new outreach sequence, or structuring a competitive analysis, you don’t wait for someone else to do it.

🤝 Likeable, Empathetic & Persuasive

You build rapport quickly and communicate with clarity and conviction. You can drive challenging conversations with executives and make them feel understood. You know how to empower internal champions to push deals across the finish line.

🎯 Polished & Detail-Oriented

Your email writing is crisp, tailored, and professional. You adapt tone for different personas. Your meetings are well prepared; your follow-up is precise; your documentation is thorough.

Background Requirements

Experience
  • 3–7+ years in SaaS sales, selling $30K–$100K+ annual contracts.

  • Proven track record closing large, consultative, multi-stakeholder deals.

  • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding quota.

  • Strong experience selling to GTM leaders (preferred but not mandatory).

Sales Motion
  • Experience with sign-and-pay SaaS contracts (not usage-based models).

  • Comfortable with both outbound and inbound motions.

  • Skilled in champion building, objection handling, pricing, and negotiation.

Industry
  • Experience in GTM tech, sales tech, rev-tech, or AI solutions is a plus.

What Success Looks Like
  • You quickly learn the product and begin contributing meaningful pipeline.

  • You deliver crisp, tailored sales communication and polished demos.

  • You independently create the materials you need to win complex deals.

  • You consistently close mid–large ACV SaaS contracts with multiple stakeholders.

  • You build lasting trust with prospects and internal teams.

Why Join Artisan
  • Work directly with founders on a high-impact product at the cutting edge of AI.

  • Sell a category-defining solution before the market matures.

  • Be part of building the GTM engine from the ground up.

  • High ownership, autonomy, and upside.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
