Position Overview: 

As a key member of the Angel City FC Ticketing Department, the Group Sales Manager will own and drive Group ticket revenue for the club. This role is responsible for building and executing a comprehensive Group Sales strategy, leading and developing a high-performing sales team, and delivering best-in-class group experiences that convert first-time buyers into lifelong members of the Angel City community.


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute Group sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets for Group ticket sales  
  • Manage and evaluate a team of 1-2 Group Sales account managers on an ongoing basis. Set and effectively communicate clear sales and revenue goals, while providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
  • Oversee the group sales process from inquiry to purchase, ticket allocation, and payment processing 
  • Create and manage a database of leads, contacts, and prospects for ongoing communication and relationship development  
  • Collaborate with our Director of Ticket Sales around short- and long-term strategy to strengthen our Group ticket buyer database 
  • Partner with Marketing around campaigns, theme nights, and promotional items to expand our Group audience and design incredible ticket packages that drive Group ticket sales 
  • Conduct training around Group prospecting and effective Group sales techniques  
  • Attend external events, including but not limited to corporate networking events, youth soccer tournaments, community gatherings, etc., to lead on-site Group sales opportunities  
  • Connect with our Service team to ensure an unrivaled experience and level of service for our Group ticket buyers 
  • Work together with our Revenue coordinator to ensure Game Day Experiences purchased by our Group ticket buyers are executed seamlessly 
  • Drive and deliver Group Sales strategy and revenue targets in partnership with the Director of Ticket Sales
  • Build, manage, and forecast pipeline health, ensuring consistent pacing and visibility into performance
  • Set and enforce team activity standards to drive new business and sustained pipeline growth
  • Execute outbound strategy across priority segments (youth soccer, schools, corporate, ERGs, nonprofits, community groups) in collaboration with Ticketing leadership
  • Coach, train, and develop Group Sales Account Managers through structured onboarding, ongoing skill development, and regular pipeline and deal reviews
  • Support the team in advancing and closing key opportunities, stepping in on high-value or complex deals as needed
  • Drive performance against group nights and key matches, with targeted outreach plans to maximize revenue
  • Partner with Marketing and Ticketing leadership to develop and execute group ticket campaigns, offers, and products that drive demand
  • Utilize CRM and data insights to prioritize leads, improve conversion, and inform decision-making
  • Represent the club externally and ensure group gameday experiences are executed seamlessly, in partnership with Service and Operations.

Job Requirements 

  • 2+ years of group sales management experience with a professional sports team
  • A proven track record of high-level performance and hitting sales goals  
  • Archtics, Tableau, and CRM system experience preferred
  • Passion for and commitment to creating an unparalleled experience for ACFC fans  
  • Excellent relationship-building and people skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally both externally and internally 
  • Assertive, persistent, and results-oriented 
  • Incredible and translatable presence on outbound call and email prospecting 
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as dictated by events 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Compensation

In addition to the benefits listed above, this role offers a base salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience, and is eligible for a bonus.
