Who We Are

Bluewater provides comprehensive and innovative solutions for managing the lifecycle of large format batteries and solar panels. As a startup committed to further developing a circular economy, we innovate in the reuse, recycling, and resale of EV, e-mobility, material handling equipment, and energy storage technologies to promote sustainability and resource efficiency. We’re on an exciting mission to reduce inefficiencies and enable a secondary marketplace for renewable energy equipment, and we’re doing it in an emerging segment of renewable energy where strong operators can set the standard for growth and innovation.

The Opportunity

  • Own and manage a set of priority customer accounts, directly leading to revenue generation

  • Build long-term relationships with customers while stepping into complex, high-value, or strategic deals

  • Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing sales team, including training, coaching, and ongoing performance management

  • Drive strategy and lead teams in prospecting, deal structuring, negotiation, and account management best practices

  • Enhance CRM discipline and pipeline accuracy, while collaborating with teams internally to improve operational efficiency

  • Define, track, and report on team goals and KPIs, ensuring strong pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and performance visibility

  • Partner with leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, sales processes, and account ownership

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Compliance, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • 69+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, including at least 2 years of prior management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated individual success closing complex deals and driving revenue growth

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and manage high-performing sales teams

  • Strong coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable analyzing performance data and using insights to improve outcomes

  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce)

  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Experience in renewable energy, sustainability, or circular economy solutions is a plus

  • Enthusiasm towards travel for client meetings, team development, and industry events

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
