Hi, we’re CompanyCam.

We’re a simple-to-use photo documentation and productivity app for contractors of all commercial and home services industries. Packed with intuitive functionality, CompanyCam facilitates unparalleled communication and accountability across a contractor’s entire business. We’re committed to providing a consumer-grade, game-changing experience that helps our users build trust within their company and with their customers.

But don’t let that corporate description fool you—the people behind our buttoned-up product are laid-back (but hardworking), genuine, and kickass, and you could be one of them!

What We Care About

One Team: We don't think of ourselves as "Product Managers", "Engineers", "Data Analysts", or "Acquisition Marketers". Beyond denoting skill sets and areas of expertise, we don't think departments matter. We'd rather align ourselves to the goals we're working to achieve and make sure we have the necessary subject matter expertise to drive meaningful impact. We strive to orient ourselves around customer problems TOGETHER – getting the right people with the right context in the right rooms(Zooms) to solve problems holistically.

We question everything and are precious about nothing: Ideas can and should come from anywhere, and we aren't tied to our own. Our product leaders facilitate and champion great ideas from across the organization. We proactively source inputs from all directions, with particular attention to the unique needs of mid-market organizations. We talk to our customers regularly and are quick to change course if we know there's a better or more impactful way to deliver value.

We consider the customer journey in all of our decisions: We understand that no interaction exists in a silo and therefore understand how important every single one is. We ensure our strategy sets prospective and new customers up for success and drives long-term retention, with a particular focus on the complexity of mid-market deployment and adoption. We answer questions and address problems early and proactively. We understand the value of different channels, initiatives, and messages and know how to articulate impact and advocate for prioritization holistically.

We Execute For Impact: When we stick the landing, we have the opportunity to impact businesses across the country. Our continued growth is directly correlated to the outsized value we produce for our customers, from small contractors to larger mid-market organizations.

We De-risk Assumptions: We are not beholden to ideas. We have goals and believe everything beyond that is a series of hypotheses to validate. We constantly ask ourselves, "What's the most important thing I should be working on right now? How do I confirm or reject that assumption as fast as possible?" We don't expect to be perfect the first time, but by de-risking assumptions and remaining customer-focused, we tend to be pretty on target.

About The Product Team

We have four principles

  1. Holistic thinking: We know that nothing exists in a silo at a team, discipline, or feature level
  2. Proactive collaboration: We build context together and encourage synchronous, streamlined work from our colleagues and diversity in problem-solving
  3. Data-driven decision-making: We use first principles and are skeptical so we can get to the right answer to deliver value quickly
  4. Disciplined prioritization: We substantiate the size of the opportunity we're pursuing, ensuring it connects back to the squad’s outcomes and the business’s strategy

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
