Greenhouse Production Assistant 

Areas of Responsibility: Tier 1  

  • Seeding duties, including operating seeding machine(s).  

  • Transplant seedlings based on quality standards.  

  • Identify and cull plants with pests or disease and report all signs of pest and/or disease to supervisor.  

  • Harvest mature plants as instructed and in accord with production schedule.   

  • Move and rearrange growing equipment as needed.   

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of greenhouse materials.  

  • Compost unused plants as instructed and in accord with production schedule.  

  • Assist with daily cleaning of production areas, equipment, and supplies.  

  • Assist with periodic cleaning of common areas in facility.  

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), Company food safety policies, Company employee’s safety policies, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).  

  • Proper handwashing and wear required PPE at all times. 

  • Additional duties as assigned.
