Job Description

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Manage the risk, control and governance processes for the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) division, including:
    • Monitor and identify potential risks and recommend action to mitigate potential risks to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identify potential risks, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Review company policies and procedures, systems audit reports (SOC1, SOC2), and internal audit reports to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
    • Investigate compliance violations and concerns and provide recommendations on remediation and compliance.
    • Collaborate with other divisions including Internal Audit, IT, HR, Legal, and Privacy to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Manage the privacy review process for the Privacy Office, including:
    • Screen the Privacy Office intake portal/inbox to identify new privacy review requests.
    • Assess requests to determine the scope of the required privacy review.
    • Communicate with the business regarding documentation, review status, and outstanding information requests.
    • Analyze responses from the business to ensure completion of privacy review documentation.
    • Track the progress of privacy reviews.
    • Work with internal privacy counsel to ensure that privacy reviews are completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards for risk management, controls and governance. 
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles.
  • Expert familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with privacy program management software (TrustArc is a plus).
  • CIA, CISA, or CCEP certification preferred.
  • CIPM certification nice to have. 

The annual base salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $105,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
