Job Summary
We're looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our growing communications team. In this role, you'll help bring Optimum's story to life visually across every channel - from corporate announcements and internal communications to customer campaigns and social media.
You'll work closely with our integrated communications team (corporate communications, customer communications, and social media) to design content that is visually compelling, on-brand, and strategically aligned. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong design eye, and enjoys turning complex ideas into simple, impactful visuals.
Responsibilities
Creative Design & Production
  • Design engaging visuals for presentations, newsletters, social media, and digital campaigns.
  • Create on-brand graphics, templates, and layouts for internal and external communications.
  • Partner with communications leads to translate business priorities into compelling visual storytelling.
  • Ensure every deliverable is polished, consistent, and strategically aligned.

Campaign & Content Support
  • Design assets for leadership forums, employee spotlights, and town halls.
  • Produce external-facing graphics for press, social channels, and owned media platforms.
  • Support customer communications with visuals that drive loyalty, upsell, and retention.

Innovation & Fresh Thinking
  • Bring proactive ideation to every project - anticipating needs and pitching fresh, bold design concepts.
  • Benchmark best-in-class creative work to push the team's design standards higher.
  • Move quickly and efficiently - responding with speed and agility without sacrificing quality.

Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Partner with communications, marketing, and social media teams to ensure visual consistency across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with content creators, writers, and video producers to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Jump in wherever needed to make projects successful.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design (agency or in-house).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in brand design, digital graphics, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and design tools like Figma or Canva.
  • Motion graphics, video editing, or illustration skills a plus.
  • Excellent creative judgment with a strong eye for typography, layout, and brand consistency.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, positive, can-do mindset - eager to dive in, bring new ideas, and make things happen.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a bias toward action and quick responses.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $64,260.00 - $105,570.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
