Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our team on a part-time, unpaid basis. This internship is ideal for a current student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Visual Communications, or a related field. As a Graphic Design Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on a wide range of projects that support social media, digital marketing, email campaigns, print collateral, and web content. This role offers the opportunity to build a professional portfolio while collaborating with a team of marketers in a dynamic, real-world environment. Some on-site presence is required at our Torrance, CA office.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the creation and design of digital assets for social media, DocMagic’s website, email marketing, internal communications, events and more
- Support the development of marketing materials for both print and digital use
- Collaborate with the marketing team to bring concepts to life while maintaining brand consistency
- Revise and update existing company materials as needed
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and content
- Experience creating/editing videos a plus
Required Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Availability to work up to 20 hours a week ith occasional in-office days in Torrance, CA.
- Must receive school credit.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Portfolio of work (class projects or personal work acceptable) demonstrating strong design abilities
- Basic understanding of asset specifications (ex. dimensions, file formats, resolution).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to receive and apply feedback
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience in other programs (XD, Figma, Premiere, After Effects, Canva, etc.) is a plus
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software is a plus
- Interest in and understanding of design best practices for social media platforms
