Position Title: Graphic Design Intern

Department: Creative

Reports to: Graphic Design Manager

FLSA: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Program Period: October – End of 2026-27 Sacramento Kings Season

 

Job Summary: Are you a creative, detail-oriented graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling? We're seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to our creative projects. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our creative endeavors and helping bring our brand to life.


Key Responsibilities Areas:

  • Update game day creative assets across digital, social, print, and in-arena platforms.

  • Design promotional giveaways, fan engagement materials, and creative assets for theme nights and marketing campaigns.

  • Create and adapt branding assets for the Stockton Kings.

  • Prepare advertising materials for Golden 1 Center and other marketing channels.

  • Collaborate with the Creative team to develop and produce print and digital creative from concept to final delivery.

  • Prepare production-ready files while ensuring brand consistency and quality across all assets.

  • Contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns, events, and fan engagement initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Portfolio required for consideration

  • Currently an upcoming College Senior preparing to graduate or possess a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) with a strong understanding of design fundamentals. Familiarity with Figma is a plus.

  • Familiarity with the sports industry and marketing a team or brand is preferred.

  • Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills; able to apply creative feedback effectively.

 

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

  • Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months

  • Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office

  • Able to work up to 25 hours per week


Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
