A mission-driven organization is seeking a Grants Writer to support fundraising efforts through strategic grant development and management. This role is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and managing the full grant lifecycle to support organizational growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including tracking deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather program data, budgets, and impact metrics
- Maintain a grants calendar and track application status and funding outcomes
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and reporting requirements
- Prepare progress reports and stewardship materials for funders
- Assist in developing grant strategies aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 2+ years of grant writing experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
- Proven track record of securing grant funding
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong research and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Familiarity with grant databases and fundraising tools is a plus
