We are seeking an experienced Grants Accountant to join one of our well-known nonprofit partners. As a Grants Accountant, you will play a vital role in grants management and ensuring compliance with regulatory accounting standards. Duties
- Collaborate with program managers and department heads to provide financial guidance and support for grant management and reporting.
- Be the primary fiscal contact for sub-recipients and funders; understand specific grant requirements; ensure compliance on contract conditions and assurances; ensure reporting requirements are met.
- Support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, etc.
- Approve invoices and expenses related to various programs managed.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations, nonprofit industry standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
