Graduate Research Intern

About this opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated graduate student intern to perform conceptual research studies and prototype work on topics related to one or more of the following: 6G cellular communication, physical layer design, AI/ML, integrated sensing and communication, fixed wireless access, digital twin, non-terrestrial networks, and IoT. The intern will develop solutions, run simulations and experiments, analyze results, produce a final report, and will potentially contribute to a conference or journal publication. The intern will be provided with mentorship and guidance throughout the internship.
What you will do:
• Develop novel concepts, solutions, simulation tools, and algorithms • Analyze and interpret results; iterate on approaches as needed• Document work in a final technical report; concept presentations, assist with publication or standards contributions where suitable• Collaborate closely with Ericsson researchers
The skills you bring:
• Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field• Strong background in one or more of: wireless communications, optimization, AI/ML, error-control coding, integrated sensing and communications, digital twins, or FWA, • Experience with simulation and prototyping tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, ns 3, etc.) preferred. Knowledge of deep learning model tool chains (e.g., JAX/Flax) is a plus.• Good analytical and programming skills; ability to work independently and in teams• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Prior publications record
