Comerit is seeking a skilled and innovative Google Cloud Architect to join our team and lead the development of a robust cloud infrastructure for the Border Wait Time (BWT) project. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize Google Cloud solutions to enable secure data exchange between the BWT system, on-ground sensors, and Google Maps. Your work will play a crucial role in reducing border wait times and enhancing efficiency for millions of travelers and trade vehicles annually.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a secure Google Cloud infrastructure to support real-time data exchange.
- Develop APIs for seamless integration between the BWT system, field sensors, and Google Maps.
- Optimize cloud solutions for scalability, high availability, and low-latency data processing.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and integration specialists to enable predictive analytics and real-time visualization.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations in cloud architecture and API development.
- Conduct performance testing and refine the cloud infrastructure for peak efficiency.
- Provide technical support during deployment and system integration phases.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Strong expertise in API development and integrating IoT or sensor-based systems with cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Knowledge of secure data exchange protocols (e.g., HTTPS, OAuth, and encryption methods).
- Experience with cloud-based monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring).
Preferred:
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and analytics.
- Experience integrating with mapping platforms like Google Maps.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Terraform).
- Understanding of cross-border data regulations and compliance requirements.
