Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Global Supply Planner/Master Scheduler, located in Fremont, CA. Ichor's Master Scheduling team is responsible for generating and maintaining a globally feasible, capacity-constrained supply plan across Ichor's vertically integrated manufacturing network. As a Global Supply Planner, you will own the day-to-day execution of the supply plan for your assigned sites and product families, working closely with site operations, sales, and finance to resolve constraints, prioritize demand, and ensure Ichor's manufacturing network is planned to deliver maximum value to the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

Constrained Supply Planning

  • Convert unconstrained demand into a confirmed, capacity and material constrained supply plan
  • Assign confirmed start dates to planned orders based on available capacity and material
  • Offload production to alternate sites or remote factories where applicable
  • Serve as a technical translator between the Master Scheduling Team and site production planning, procurement, and engineering teams, ensuring new modules and ERP updates align with operational needs

Order Prioritization & Revenue Optimization

  • Prioritize work orders based on Ichor's overall revenue and margin objectives
  • Run what-if scenarios to optimize order prioritization and maximize high-revenue potential
  • Own allocation decisions across transfer, buy, and remote factory options to resolve capacity constraints
  • Identify gaps where demand cannot be met within current capacity
  • Escalate unresolvable capacity constraints with recommended resolution options

Planning Key Attribute Ownership

  • Own and maintain planning-relevant master data within ERP/APS systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of the constrained plan
  • Own the configuration of shift calendars and work center resource assignments in ERP, partnering with site operations to ensure capacity calculations accurately reflect actual production conditions
  • Own and maintain build-to-stock parameters including reorder points, safety stock, lot sizes, and order modifiers
  • Lead the migration of manual, Excel-dependent site planning trackers into centralized dashboards and SQL-backed warehouses to provide a "single source of truth" for master scheduling

Site Planning Partnership

  • Partner with site planning to ensure the global constrained supply plan is understood, accepted, and executable at the site level, resolving conflicts between global prioritization decisions and site-level execution realities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the global supply planning team and site planners for capacity updates, work order status, and exception resolution, ensuring a timely and accurate flow of information in both directions
  • Collaborate with site operations teams to maintain the accuracy of planning master data, including shift calendars, work center capacities, and resource assignments, ensuring the global plan reflects true site conditions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field
  • 5+ years in supply chain planning / analytics in manufacturing environment
  • Multi-site constrained supply planning experience
  • ERP/APS proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis)
  • Strong grasp of constrained planning and scheduling concepts
  • Strong analytical and scenario modeling skills
  • Cross-functional leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
  • SQL, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Semiconductor or machining manufacturing experience
  • KPI definition and tracking in a multi-site environment

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
