SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for aligning corporate spend with company strategy while supporting internal customers, and functional team, through the procurement lifecycle process. This role is actively involved with spend strategy, new company spend, the RFx process and analyzing current spend for renegotiation.

Desired Attributes

  • Must possess an in-depth understanding of procurement processing, gathering and effectively defining functional business area specifications with extensive knowledge in indirect spend.
  • Ability to perform pricing strategy, negotiation, and financial analysis; and convert these activities into actionable reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic spend projects with moderate to significant cost impact.
  • Skill in planning and organizing workload with the ability to manage acquisitions from concept to PO and supporting the development of team focus to advance the strategic nature of the procurement function.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to all aspects of the sourcing process for goods and services required by SailPoint.
  • Devise and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to support corporate infrastructure and reinforce business continuity on a global scale.
  • Direct complex contract negotiations, including the development of licensing agreements, service-level arrangements, and multi-year strategic partnerships.
  • Forge strong partnerships with internal teams, ensuring procurement objectives are coordinated with business roadmap.
  • Continuously analyze market dynamics, emerging risks, and opportunities—factoring in geopolitical shifts, cybersecurity challenges, and evolving compliance landscapes—to inform and refine sourcing decisions.
  • Drive cost optimization while maintaining quality, speed-to-market, and supplier diversity.
  • Support ongoing enhancement of procurement processes, tools, and technologies, establishing best practices and operational excellence.
  • Uphold corporate governance protocols.
  • Manage procurement budgets while providing clear and comprehensive reports on cost reductions and improvements in operational efficiency.
  • Ongoing team development and mentorship, emphasizing long-term procurement objectives and individual targets.
  • Develop strategy, review, and/or, negotiations with supply base related to corporate acquisitions to expand SailPoint’s software products or market position, including coordinating and executing assignments and engage with business areas to determine overall direction of existing commitments.

Position Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven problem solving and strategic spend impact.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$96,100 - $137,300 - $178,500

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
