The Global Process Excellence Expert strengthens and optimises the operational foundation of the Sandoz technology organization. Operating within the Methods & Frameworks function, this role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistent delivery excellence, strong governance, and enterprise‑wide alignment.

The Global Process Excellence Expert drives approved initiatives and process improvements that translate strategic goals into scalable, compliant, and value‑driven ways of working.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Framework Development & Governance

  • Design, evolve, and govern enterprise‑wide technology frameworks and standards (e.g., ITIL, Agile, SAFe, DevOps, TOGAF) to ensure scalability, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment of frameworks and operating practices with Sandoz strategic objectives, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Define and maintain governance models that enable consistent adoption, decision‑making, and control across the technology organization.
  • Continuously evolve the Sandoz Technology Operating Model, ensuring coherence across processes, roles, governance, and strategic priorities.

Methodology Enablement & Operationalization

  • Define, standardize, and roll out technology methodologies covering portfolio, program, and project management, architecture, service delivery, and innovation.
  • Ensure clear definition, integration, and compliance of end‑to‑end processes supporting the Technology Operating Model.
  • Enable technology teams to adopt and tailor methodologies pragmatically, balancing standardization with operational flexibility.
  • Provide practical enablement through training, playbooks, toolkits, and implementation guidance to drive consistent execution.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Oversight

  • Monitor the effectiveness, maturity, and adoption of frameworks and methodologies through KPIs, audits, and structured feedback loops.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, optimize, and modernize processes, reducing complexity while improving value delivery.
  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives, incorporating emerging trends, evolving business needs, and industry advancements.

Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory

  • Collaborate closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, governance bodies, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful execution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert guidance on operating model evolution, methods, governance, and delivery excellence.
  • Facilitate alignment across functions to drive enterprise‑wide adoption and sustainability of technology ways of working.

Knowledge & Information Management

  • Curate, maintain, and govern a centralized repository of frameworks, methodologies, SOPs, templates, and reference materials.
  • Ensure documentation is structured, accessible, version‑controlled, and audit‑ready, in line with Information Management Framework standards.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, reuse, and standardization across the technology organization.

What you’ll bring to the role:
 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified (Black Belt preferred)
  • ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4) certification
  • PMP or PRINCE2 Foundation certification (or equivalent project management qualification)
  • 10+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Technology governance Enterprise architecture IT service management or IT operations
  • Hands‑on experience working with industry best‑practice frameworks and standards (ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, etc.)

Desirable / Advantageous

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Agile / Scrum certification (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent scaled‑Agile certification
